Keeping succulents dry in Winter in Sydney, Australia

Hi there,

I live in Sydney Australia, and our winter is very mild. The coldest it gets is 10°C, but most days it's between 15-20. It rains a fair bit, but there are also lots of beautiful sunny winter days here.

My question is about how to treat my succulents and cacti in Winter? I have quite a few varieties, but most of my research for almost all of them suggest watering significantly less or even not at all in Winter. But Sydney winter isn't like most other places in Winter! The plants will still get a decent few hours of sun, and won't be subjected to very cold temperatures. All my plants are in pots, which I keep outdoors on sunny days, but in a bright window on cloudy/rainy days.

Does anyone have any advice on whether the succulents will still go through a dormant phase in Sydney Winter, even though it's so mild? Should I stop/cut back on watering as you're supposed to in Winter even if they're getting quite a bit of sun?

thanks for your help!
