Bought a new rose today....
Comments (8)Time will tell. Last year was the first year I had JB's in my yard. They didn't bother some of the roses, but others were decimated. I have other EE roses and they have always performed very well. Also very winter hardy. I have had Funny Face in the garden for over 8 years. Just not sure on size and shape of this one. They always seem to grow bigger in my yard than what the tags say. Sunrise Sunset is quite large and My Girl is unbelievable this year....See Moresomething bought, something new, and something green... :) -----
Comments (9)thanks for the encouragement all! deb, the sepals (sorry I misspelled that awfully in the post) show a hint of yellow and then fades like the petals but the petals hide that so that you only see the hint of yellow, if that makes sense. :) I was really excited to see this one last year and will be watching it again next summer to see if I can get some good scapes going in a clump and then count the buds etc etc and valuate it etc... Siloam Green Creek is so great with such a bold green and yellow together, I take pics of each bloom and I don't know why I would need so many pics of it on my computer but ahh well. :)...See MoreBought new ones today - oops! Come see

Some days, they all look like just one big flower. Luckily enough, they do only bloom one day, and then the next day there is enough room for the next one to bloom. The hard part is trying to get the old "mushies" off without breaking the fresh buds. Sometimes I just don't do it for fear that I will break some. Vickie...See MoreBought new DW today!
