It appears to be a quarter window from a coupe ca 1930 through 1950. It was positioned on the side of the car and to the rear. I can't tell from the photo if it opens by pivoting or is fixed. It is in rough shape, but the frame appears solid and could be salvaged. Originally, the bezel griping the glass was likely bright plated. The weather seals would need replacing. The glass is either fogged or dirty.

I would have value only to someone who is restoring a model of a car to which this belongs, otherwise, it is junk. It might have a small value to a dealer of restoration parts.

hi jem, they do swing out, small latch on the other side. for 20.00, they should be sitting in the garage, i had a few things i had to do and wasn't thinking. i'll probably get a hold of him and pickem up tomorrow, and see if i can find some #'s. your right finding that right person. if they're out there? couple months ago a friend was closing down a gas station he'd run since the 60's and i found a pair of motorcycle exhaust pipes he didn't remember anything about and gave them to me. the style looked familiar to me and found out they where off of a late 60's early 70's honda sl350. looked online and these old pipes where going for big $. i was thinking, sl350? what are the chances? posted them on CL and they sold the next day, got 150. you just never know.

picked up those quarter window's this morning. no part#'s visible? i wonder if they stamped part no. on them? anyway i posted them on an antique car forum and got a couple replies, nothing definitive.

Now that you have shown the other side, those are vent windows, popular in the 1930s and 1940s. The shape of these suggest these were at the rear of a coupe. In that era, front vent windows were common and useful before air conditioning became common. Vent windows began to disappear partly for cost reduction.

In those days, if you locked yourself out of the car, the front vent window was the choice to break to gain entry. It was small and easily replaced.
