Need help selecting artwork that will compliment purple artwork
Comments (31)Thanks all. I did go with the Allure Blossom. It's coming today. I don't think I could go with a mirror on that wall because there is a hutch to the right which has mirrors in it. I really like the purple and yellow bowl from Pier One; will see if they still have it or something similar. Might be sending more pictures of my next dilemma in the living room. Another picture where I can't seem to find another piece of art that compliments....See MoreNeed Help Picking Out Replacement Comforter
Comments (39)I have the Varant (actually two, one for home, one for DHs apartment) and really like the orange (although usually not an orange fan) and the blue. It also feels good, crisp but smooth and has held up really well with weekly washing; plus I like the zipper. You could also go with a paisley. Comments (16)@groveraxle I really, really like your placement of artwork with the four pieces!! Thank you very much for your input!! Would you say that the 2 smaller black and white pieces are 8x10 frames? I'm trying to figure out what size of frames and the 2 larger canvases are, so I can make this look happen! Also, do you happen to know where the floating shelf below the tv can be purchased? Or something similar? You made my morning with your help!!!...See MoreHelp me pick art for my living room + dining room!
Comments (10)No, I don't think it would look awful. I love big art pieces. The important thing though is do YOU like it? It's your home and it's important that it please YOU. Looking at your picture, I'm wondering if the art above the sofa isn't a tad big for that wall. (I really like it, btw.) Usually, the eye appreciates some breathing room around art. If you have painter's tape, try taping out that canvas' size above your couch and see just how much wall it covers. That might help you visualize its negative space better. Good luck and enjoy the process!...See MoreOlychick
