I took my heat mats that I had inside and placed them inside the greenhouse in a container and placed the cuttings inside. It will really help speed up the rooting process. The best of luck to you !! It's truly amazing and I'm tickled to find one. I am having a Corona Surprise being grafted for me at Florida Colors and should have it in about four weeks.. The other three that I ordered from FC are Aurelia. Musk Rainbow and Raspberry Sundae. All are grafted from Tex. they are all potted up and ready for the season. I'll post a pic of the three from FC. Kukait has some beauties. But I think Im Not going to buy any this year... I'm happy with Edelstein , Fantasia and C C. I am interested , so keep me posted!! I'm not afraid to prune my trees and it did take a year before I felt comfortable to see where they needed to be trimmed to keep some balance. I'm not an expert, but I'll look at your trees and see what I would do. It's just hard to cut because I want to see inflos and I know that it will take time for the new cut branch to produce new little ones and then more time for inflos. I always remember BIll talking about " selective pruning". And he did this to ensure seeing Inflos at least on some of the branches. He would select only a few and then the following year, he would prune the other ones. That would give them a chance .... I'll check it out though... ;-) Thanks for the Scarlet NIght leaf intro.. nepool, I love the picture in your first post. That door is beautiful and it looks so nice with the wood floor and the whole room. Are cased windows something a lot of people do? We have never had cased windows. Of course we have a window sill but not cased. Maybe it's a regional thing. Since you have stained trim maybe you can answer a questions for me. I am concerned that if I do all stained that it will limit paint choices in the future. My house has all white except the kitchen cabinets. I remember when we painted the kitchen having to find a color that went with the cabinet color (some stains have more red or yellow in them). My sister has stained trim and doors (in her words, ugly stained trim) and when she painted a room and didn't think about the trim and the dark blue doesn't look like she had expected next to the dark trim. I have a dark blue room with white trim and the contrast is striking. We don't even have a floor plan yet and these details are driving me crazy.

In 1977 we installed very dark wood cabinets in an old lake house we were remodeling to be a year-round residence. I loved them for a lot of years, but by 2001, when we decided to tear down and rebuild on the same lot, I simply couldn't do a dark wood kitchen again! I struggled for weeks until I saw a white kitchen I loved. I'd never considered paint: "Wood should be seen!" but we did the white kitchen and loved it. We moved in 2008 and rebuilt. I would have reproduced exactly the 2001 kitchen if I could have, but neither the cabinets nor the countertops were available. I realized I wasn't tired of white, so we did a different white, and added a charcoal island. The two-tone look may be outdated quickly, but this kitchen is for ME, not for some style guru. Follow your heart! And realize that you'll always be second-guessing . . . because there are so many truly lovely choices out there!

Our house has 6" Halo recessed cans. I can't find a Halo trim that I like, so was wondering if a trim from a different brand would fit? Are all trims compatible with Halo? If not, does anyone know which ones DO fit? Thanks!
