Quartzite Counter - Crack or fissure?

MSSM Physiology

Hi - we had quartzite countertops installed last week. A day after installation, we noticed what looks like a crack. The fabricator states it is a "natural fissure" and won't be a problem. I do have some concerns that based on the location, it is a crack that occured when they cut out the sink and the stone was thinner. Also, the crack/fissure extends from under the counter lip, up the side of the counter, across the counter, and then into the sink area. (See photos). What are your thoughts? It is especially suspicious bc when they delivered the counters, there was a piece of blue tape over the area in question. Thanks.
