Mouse/Squirrel Gnawing Marks on Ginseng Ficus Bonsai... HELP PLEASE

Param A

Hello who ever is reading!!!

I'm from Toronto. I know it may be too late, but is there a possibility to fix?

A couple years ago I bought a ginseng ficus bonsai from Costco and it grew wonderfully. It lost a substantial amount of leaves in the winter. (i dont mind the leaf loss). Then the following summer, I put it outside to get good, strong light. It grew like a weed because I misted it 2-3 times a day. I watered it every few days (if it did not rain). It was getting about 6-7 hours of direct light and it put out ALOT of new growth. But this one day I noticed teeth marks on the back trunk. I cleaned it immediately with water and then blotted it with a rubbing alcohol solution. I made sure it did not get infected. Then in the winter months, it lost leaves and it was becoming a routine. Fast forward to today, I was wondering if the trunk will ever look great again. Is this a goner, or is there still anyway to cover it up? I am not an expert... These are a couple of pictures!

This is Lumen. He looks a bit dry right now lol.

This is a closer pic of the substrate it is in.

This is the gnawing mark(s). I tried to smooth the huge mark by using an X-acto blade to level it out.

This is the smaller bite marks.

Please if you have any input/advice, I would love it!
