It is a fast growing grassy weed. I live in the North East. It came up early spring which suggests it is not crab grass. I was thinking poa annua or quack grass. I have been trying to do the organic thing for 4 years now but every year I have a new weed that comes in. I applied corn gluten a few weeks ago but whatever this weed is already germinated. Any ideas as to what it is and how I can remove it from the lawn? It is all over my front yard.
