Comments (3)12 inch cuttings, in a glass jar of water. I think it is important that light gets to the cut end. Just a drop of liquid fertilizer and a drop of SuperThrive. WHen white bumps appear on the cut end, plant in moist sand and keep warm and moist. It may take 6 months to root....See Moreif you saw only this one leaf...could you id the hosta?
Comments (12)Josephines67, if you stick with us, your screen name will be out of date in no time! More like 100 would be realistic. :) Welcome to the forum. Join in the fun. Do not hesitate to begin your own thread. It is the normal routine. More people will know you're here if you introduce yourself with a separate post, especially the other Canadians among us. Two ways of posting photos. First is the GardenWeb way, by using the "Image file to upload" box at the top of the posting window. You click the "Browse" and look for a single picture on your computer. Me LOVE pictures....we are all Picture Monsters. The other way is to create a photo account (free is good) at Flickr, Photobucket, etc, but they must give you the HTML CODE which is what you copy/paste into the post. Can't find it? Then someone will help you find its location. With this method, you may upload multiple images, not just one. Look forward to seeing your garden and your hosta. Have fun....See MoreWould you please help me I.D. this little Hosta...?
Comments (3)Welcome to the land of Hostaholics. You have one very fine neighbor to give you a nice healthy plant, as that one appears to be. Definitely not Rainbow's End. That one has shiny leaves and looks almost plastic. Yours is young...could it be a young June? Here is a link to a website that provides endless info. Poke around and see what you find. -Babka Here is a link that might be useful: The Wonderful Hosta Library...See MoreI think it's some type of Hosta, but which one?
Comments (2)That's it! I thought it was a lily of the valley but I kept googling "Hosta, lily of the valley" so the right example wouldn't show up. Thanks!!!...See MoreCathy Cokley Shilow z8 SC
