Under cabinet washer/dryer, need short model recomendation
Comments (7)I think the Asko is 2.7. It supposedly holds more than it appears to, but I have never used it and really don't know if it would meet your needs. If you're planning to sell a six bedroom house, I doubt it would be a good selling feature. Maybe someone who has it will see your post and reply. BTW, it requires 220 service. It hooks up to the cold water line only and the washer plugs into the dryer. The internal heater can heat the water up to 205 degrees. You could bring a set of sheets to a store near you to check out the capacity (if you can find a store that has it on display.)...See MoreAnyone 'Repurpose' cabs above washer/dryer (Xpost to Kit)
Comments (0). . into a pantry?? My utility room is just off my kitchen. I'm getting a new washer and dryer and am considering FL w/ pedestals. This would allow my to use the bank of cabinets above my WD for a pantry and let me "re-claim" the closet that I'm now using for a pantry. Any issues with moisture/heat to be concerned about?? Thanks!!...See MoreWasher and dryer too far from wall
Comments (12)Whatever you do malvaflores, do not change the hoses. Flexible steel hoses are so much stronger and last longer than the standard rubber hoses. I once had a rubber hose burst when I was away from the house and it flooded my first floor. It made me a believer and I have replaced countless sets for family and friends. Fordtech makes an excellent point that if your walls were thick enough you could have the receptacle boxes set within. This is something that a custom build could probably accommodate if someone thought of it....See Morewall cabinet that has depth, 18" or more to be above washer/dryer?
Comments (3)My cabinets above my W/D are 24” deep and stuff does get a bit lost in the back but I keep the extra soap, back there so not a big deal. I am 5’9” so reaching not really an issue most of the time....See Morebeachem
