Not Quite Apple Blossom
Comments (16)My gardening partner actually bought it for me... I can't recall which company it came from, but it's one we all commonly know. She saw they had a sale going on, and she was ordering some other stuff... I think she said it was about $3 and change, all told. A great deal, considering the size of the bulb! I do have small hands, but not THAT small! It is definitely a jumbo bulb! It felt like a rock in my hand... heavy and solid! And I had a tough time locating a pot to fit, from my available collection of empty pots. The thing that confused me was, it was labeled as Red Peacock, but the color was actually closer to an orange red! I didn't quite capture it, but those blooms were loaded with sparkly diamond dust! I, too, hope it performs well again! It's going outside this spring... along with many others. I hope the extra sun and outdoor environment help it to keep growing and performing like it first did! It was truly amazing! I'll find out the company it came from... it was an end of season clearance purchase. Well, it sounds like the Peacock series are all very good growers... strong and sturdy. And from Donna's picture, I can see I need to add Blossom Peacock to my collection! Funny... when I first began collecting, I didn't care for the doubles... and now... I can't get enough of them! :-)...See More(Benfica x Dancing Queen) x Dancing Queen 2011
Comments (19)Well, I just load them on my laptop. I have some 11,000 pictures and from the laptop they can easily be uploaded up here on the forum. My laptop has Window's Live Photo Gallery which for me works perfectly. Even if I take them off of my computer they still stay on the forum. Of course, I only keep on the computer the ones I would like to use or view again, the rest are deleted. In the past I used Picasa but they too have changed and are no longer user friendly. I have found that if I inadvertently moved around any of my pictures in my Picasa albums that they then disappeared from the forum, so I no longer post or actually use Picasa but a good many of my photos are still being stored there but I also have them on my computer I don't download music or movies on my computer so all of my available storage goes for my pictures and emails. Comments (150)Hello ladies and happy every Holiday I missed. To those of you who do know me, I am back and mentally back on track (I think). To those of you who don't, well I was I am a member, love everyone here. Went away to do some great mission work and had some very tragic things happen. Many hours of therapy later, and actually returning to the Dominican I think I have healed, I am not bitter, sad, or frightened to leave my house any more. I am able to talk about it and I feel that I can share with postive feelings now. But enough of that. Am I to late for April? Please tell me that I can play in April? Max is 4 and we just looked at Co-op preschool. HE is a mama's boy and didn't want to go to big boy school yet. Maryanne~ I have a box for you that I need to send, but um lost your address.. So Merry Christmas when it comes. Ahh. I just don't know what to say or who to say it to because I am scared I will leave someone out. I tried to read as many posts as my brain can handle, but I am sure that I will need some help. Babies and ornaments, tornados and ahhh.. I am not in Kansas anymore. Please feel free to email me with any personals that you'd love to share. I apologize for being gone so long. If there is anything that you want to know email me. If I need to re-join let me know if there is room. Mayanne_ my big sis.. I hope all is well, miss you and thanks for all your support thru this, even though I was a bad lil sis and became an introvert. But guess what? I am back and better. Missed you all Laura.... beans...See MoreShowmaster x Matterhorn – 2011 crosses
Comments (6)This by contrast is Showmaster x Benfica also from 2011 flowering for the first time. The suggestion that Showmaster does not contribute much to the final appearance of the phenotype is borne out by this one - the dark red genes have completely swamped whatever else is there. It does make you think about what these generic darkish red flowers have in their genetic make-up - the dominant reds could hide all sorts of recessive features....See Morehippiezep
