"Green and gold" - Chrysogonum virginianum

I am always looking for small, low growing or ground cover size natives that are good for pollinators for my tiny, largely shady garden. I'm on the north side of the building tucked under balconies, so half of my garden or more is in "open shade" most of the time. Has anyone had experience growing "green and gold"? I read some raves about it recently but I'm not too familiar with it. Does it really flower a lot in shade?
