Comments (7)I got home and found out that my new pink hibiscus (bought on clearance) is flowering. I only moved it into full sun a day or two ago, I'd left it in morning sun for about a week after I potted it up. (it's visible in my first picture about 1/3 of the way over from the left, to the right of the red rake)...See MorePlease stop me...
Comments (24)"I see you are in my area too...(as well as other here...), so when there is nothing left on the shelf -- but the actual dead plants -- I'll know who to blame!!! ;-) By the way, I always make a point of making small chit-chatting with other people at the half off area in case it's a GW person. I go to the 22nd St. location (across from HD)in St. Pete. So, if some nutty lady with a cart full of plants randomly speaks to you - it's me. ;-) " That's where I go to, so it's possible we've already spoken. I spoke to someone the last time I was there, she asked me if there was anything good, I said I was still looking and I mentioned how sad it was that most of the plants just needed some water. I almost asked her if she posts on Garden Web! I'm probably going to go sometime this weekend and get myself some stuff for my birthday....See MoreI think I need an intervention
Comments (83)Seedmama and Dawn: Oh, I didn't go to Haiti, but a friend of mine hand carried all the seeds for me. She and her husband were headed there on a two week medical mission. This week she (and a bunch of other people!) are seeing all 850 kids from one organization, next week she is doing a medical mission for another set of orphanages/communities. I am happy to report the seeds made it to Haiti safely :) I was chatting back and forth on Facebook to the director of the second group last night. She thinks I'm a fount of gardening knowledge...I laughed and said it is just cause I hang out with ya'll! As long as I am in my current job, I will not be able to go on the mission trips. They always go in Jan/Feb, and Jan-June is our major busy time. I'm okay with that though. I enjoy helping coordinate on this end. The hotel the group is staying at this week has good internet, so we've seen video and been able to FB chat with everyone. YAY for internet! Today Denise should get to see the little girl that had open heart surgery in Dallas last fall. Lisa...See Morejim1961 / Central Pennsylvania / Zone 6
