What fabric is the large check? That mirror is really pretty, but I think I would wait till you decide what to do about the vanity/faucet and then see how it looks. I think My3Dogs look is a bit cottage (which I personally love) or English-ish. I think you could go for that in your bathroom just fine. I think some transferware plates hung in there would look great too. I like the larger check and browner shade in the first fabric.

I think the paint color from my3dogs looks fabulous with your tile and your shower curtain. I agree, it is english country looking with the check, which I really like.I think it would work with the art you have in there too.

My3dogs weighing in! I really like the fabric and paint sample I sent you against your floor. :-) I honestly found that although I am typically a pattern on pattern 'girl', that the 'neutral-ness' of the way mine turned out made me very happy.

My bead board is an off-white color that all the trim in my house is, so if you did the bead board wallpaper in white, you'd see more of a contrast. I see some great prints over your toilet that would look great in an English Country look!

This $15 mirror on CL might be another way to bring in an English Country look. It's a bad pic, but the only one in the ad. It could be painted if the color isn't to your liking, or have Rub N Buff used on it. Wall Mirror

Tina - The large check is Anderson Buffalo Plain in Ercu.

I'm fine with an English bent just not primitive country. Art could help fix that I think. I do find myself still struggling with wanting more simple and clean lines and other days not. I should probably get that figured out!

Boop - Oh good, I was hoping I could get the colors to come through decent on the monitor because IRL I do think they work well.

Thanks for the mirror suggestion. And here's where more struggle comes into play. I think something more simple would look better with the vanity but then it's starting to maybe pull away from the look. Wondering also what light would go above it?

I wanted to mention I do still like the art in here but wouldn't mind other options either. I was trying to think of a way to hang a cabinet but I think I'd have to have one over the toilet because of the way the corners are. I thought about shelves at one point too. I DO think I need to get away from the square mirror shape I have.

I'd start by making just the curtains and see how you like the re-do with the plain shower curtain, as the checked fabric seems to go VERY well with it.

You could also keep your current shower curtain and swap out the valence for the check.

I'm confused. Are you thinking of mixing the buffalo check and the smaller My3dogs check in the same bathroom? The tones of those two checks don't seem to blend very well. I really like the smaller My3dogs check with your shower curtain, floor and vanity. Although the buffalo check blends with the flooring, I don't care for it against the shower curtain. Looks like your tall mirror is just a bit too narrow, but it's beautiful and would add to the English country look in a streamlined way.

Delilah - No not mixing the checks. They are two fabric options. The reason I posted the larger check against the shower curtain (#2) was because I just was showing it in a vertical position as it would be if I made it into a shower curtain and how it related to the floor. I just clipped it on. #1 small check I also pinned it for the same reasons as well as the idea that I could maybe keep the existing shower curtain or make it the check.

I can use that vertical mirror elsewhere. It currently is in my bedroom.

I like the art I have, but I also have this print I thought I might like in here and would pull the darker colors from the floor as well as the lighter colors.

If any of you remember what the rest of my house looks like it's going to change somewhat once we get hardwood throughout (except in the baths and laundry rooms). These three photos are ones in my inspiration photo that I've consistently liked for years and while my house doesn't look like these, I'd like to pull elements and the overall feel from them into my house.

Do you think this bathroom direction is keeping a similar feel?

Gosh, I'd LOVE to tell you, but it is a custom SW color that I had mixed to match some of the trim in this house when I bought it ages ago! Every room had a different trim color, but I liked one of them. :-)

I just brought the can up from the basement. It was mixed in their Super Paint the last time I bought some. The formula is mixed in an 'Ultra White base' and this is the formula for a gallon. I cannot get the spacing to remain in the columns, so hopefully you can see what I'm saying here. I'm sure if you copied what I show below and took it to SW, they'd understand it.

BAC COLORANT - 02 - 32 - 64 - 128

Y3 - Deep Gold - 10 appears under the 32

B1 -Black - 1 appears under the 32 and 1 also appears under the 128

Any color in the bm deck you think it's similar to?

I've never looked, Shee, as I have always been happy with that, and over time (many years ago) painted all of the interior trim, including the bead board in the baths, to have that same color. I would guess that BM could also mix it, with that formula.

I love your inspiration pics Shee! the walls seem much lighter than what you have in the piece fromy M3dogs. I love the check though - maybe go with a lighter color in the swatch?

New question. I can get the same fabric and color of #2(my3 dogs fabric) in a larger check. Should I get the small size or a larger one? (accidentally posted this in the other thread.)

Boop - I think I'm going to have some sample paint mixed from her sample to see it larger. I like how it appears lighter on her walls.

Ok, was looking at this again and here's my 2 cents on the 2 fabrics. If you are going to dark brown curtains in the master, I'd go with the buffalo check in the darker brown for the bathroom. Fabric #1. I don't like matching master bedroom/bathrooms, but coordinating; and I think the first fabric coordinates best with what you have in mind for the bedroom. Just a thought!

ETA: hmmm, buffalo check is not as dark as I thought, but I think I still prefer it. I'm sure there is probably a buffalo check in the dark brown like your curtains though.

Tina - Hmm... This isn't the master bathroom but you can see both this room and the bedroom from the hall.

I do like the other larger check but I don't know what to do with paint color. I think it would almost have to be a pale version of the taupe. I need to dig out my paint decks.

I know some people enjoy the journey of decorating but I honestly just want the changes done already so I can move on, lol. I dislike the decision making process.
