I am not sure. I noticed it a couple days after I bought it when I looked closely. Also, when I bought it, it was surrounded by other succulents in those small square pots.

I'm not sure if it's the lighting or not but it looks like it may be getting a bit too much water. The leaves may be displaying signs of oedema or edema (whatever you want to call it). Again, it could just be the lighting though.

For one of them (bottom left - almost completely gone now - was a "jellybean" succulent) I think the roots were rotting or something. So maybe that one would definitely require more drainage in the soil? I know that one is supposed to be way more finicky than the others. Also, these are my first succulents - they were a gift, so I don't really know much. Any help is much appreciated!!! Here is a picture of what they looked like originally (ignore the candy - it was part of the gift!) ps - is it normal for the lowest leaves of the aeonium haworithii to shrivel up, die, and fall off? It seems to have grown vertically some, but also dying.
