Comments (20)Rita, my doc told me up front that he recommended at least a week off. And he told me that it will be 3-6 months of PT. Today I'm not so sure I'm ready to go back on Mon. I haven't even attempted a shower yet, and the thought of getting ready for work and driving all the way there by myself is kind of overwhelming. Yesterday was the first day I had a normal shirt on (I'd been wearing a huge papery shirt that went around the arm and sling). Today when my DH helped me put a shirt on I kind of freaked out having the sling off. I know it's a process. :) I'm just terrified of doing something wrong and undoing what was done on Monday! Comments (25)Let's see how I did. I got my daughter's table topper done and finished two of four placemats for her. I finished the center of my One-Block-Wonder, but it still needs two borders. I did find border and backing fabric for it, so that's good. I made a View from the Cabin top, and it's now in the "to be quilted," or TBQ pile. (I did not make a dent in the TBQ pile. In fact, I added one.) I've got all 36 scrappy log cabin blocks done, and I'm just trying to decide if I should add one more row. I completely made and mailed off my Hawaiian quilt to my friend on Maui. It arrived safely I'm happy to say, but she hasn't been home from the hospice to open the box yet. I'm fooling around with Bonnie Hunter's Boxy Stars pattern. I cut a bunch of blue, green and purple 2.5" strips into the prescribed lengths, and I've gotten several blocks done. I looks like it will be pretty. All in all, it was a productive month. I really do have to spend some time actually quilting those six, soon to be eight, quilt tops though. Rita, we were posting at the same time. I love your Rainbow Log Cabin quilt. Very creative. And Beth, your table topper and hot pads are very sweet....See MoreJune, 2017 Quilting/Sewing Goals
Comments (12)I got my three lotto blocks for June, July and August in the mail and finished my One Block Wonder top. I'm going to try to get two tops sandwiched, quilted and bound this month, but truth be told, I like to piece way more than I like to quilt. I would like to finish the two last placemats for my daughter. Maybe I'll work on my scrappy log cabin and Bonnie Hunter's Boxy Stars and String-X too. That should do it. I'll be going to New York to visit my sis for a week, so that will cut into my quilting time this month....See MoreOctober 2017 Quilting/Sewing Goals
Comments (7)12 greats! Wow! Congratulations! I think we will be stuck at 2 for a very long time. Sewing for October? Just last night I put away the one(s) I have been working on, or at least I cleared the kitchen table. Next weekend is Cdn. Thanksgiving and at least one family be coming for dinner. So really must do some cleaning. The basement redo is in limbo until the insurance people come to do an estimate. Then the challenge will be to find a contractor who can fit us in. Over 6000 homes were flooded, so these guys will be plenty busy. I had wanted to do some Christmas sewing but first I have to find my fabric. I know it is here somewhere in one of these rooms. Stuff everywhere! But sew I will, just not sure on what. Theresa...See Moreritaweeda
