Nope...it's an ottoman. I think the seller might be Martyn Lawrence Bullard....he uses the word "delicious" in his description: This very cool rounded ottoman was a vintage purchase which I intended to fix up and use as the centerpiece of a walk-in closet, however construction plans have been delayed and the closet will not happen as quickly as hoped, and in the mean time we need to put windows in our garage, so I need to sell to gain storage space. This is a very cool shape (like pac-man) which could be used to go around the corner of a wall to be a banquette, or just left as is for a neat design. The velvet or velour fabric is like a golden vanilla color, very rich and regal looking, classic glam. You can use it as a coffee table/ottoman piece with a sofa, or like I was going to as a lounge seating piece in a fabulous closet, bedroom, family room, home theater room, humongous Moroccan style bathroom, etc. Pretty versatile and probably a great conversation piece wherever you put it. Instant style, and a forever classic. Measures 60" diameter (5' across!) -- Deliciously HUGE! Note that there is some staining and dirt on the upholstery. The lines across the top are just indentations in the velvet from what this was leaning against in our garage, those will fluff out. I tried to get good photos but since this is a velvety or velour type fabric it was hard to catch it right. There are some stains on the top, and the pointed edges have worn spots, and dirt. I have done a brush-off of the dirt, but I don't have the time or cleaning supplies to try to see if Oxy-clean or something will work on this. I would guess it would, but I need to leave that to the buyer, and my price reflects this. The upholestry is so pretty, and dramatic. I would think it would definitely be worth your while to try to salvage it. Even if some of the stains don't completely come out, they are hard to see with the velvet texture. It is up to you. Also, since this is an older item, the foam in the cushion feels a little on the hard side. It is not terrible, I mean it could still be used, but if you want a super-cushy seat I recommend reupholstering. Up to you. I try to think of all picky things to tell people. This is a really well-made piece and to get this custom made would be like $800+just for the frame and padding, then another few hundred for the upholstery fabric (depending on what you chose). Velvet is pretty pricey these days too, so if you can salvage it, you got a crazy good buy. Thanks everyone, I'm loving her more every day! Mellyc123, I used BM Chili Pepper Aura latex satin finish. No wax, just a raw umber glaze. I grabbed the tassels from my china hutch. . .what I really want is a black and gold one. . .the search begins! Engineer Chic, I TSP'd it on Friday, painted Saturday morning, let it dry til Saturday pm (BM guy said the Aura just needs about an hour to dry but I waited a little longer), didn't like the way the top looked, so I sanded most of it off and then did the second coat on Sunday afternoon. Let that dry and then did the glaze. So. . . basically a week-end. It still feels a little tacky on top to me, so I probably won't use it until it sets a few more days and then in another week or so, I should have the glass top. The chair I did on Monday, but I only cleaned it up and did the cushion. . . didn't paint/refinish. Lazydaisynot, in the "Before" thread, Oceanna posted a link to a beautiful Chas. Sligh desk, exact smae style, but beautiful burled wood on the front. . it was deemed a "collectable" with an estimated value of $500-600. Mine actually looks exactly like the one on ebay that you posted. That is a lovely one and like Mellyc123's, I think I'd have a hard time painting that one! The finish on mine was absolutely trashed which is why I decided to paint. I't funny, but I had never seen another one like mine until Mellyc123's and now you find this one on ebay!! I love your desk and chair, Raven! Looks like almost everyone is getting some really good deals, that's great. I'm not doing any shopping other than the basic necessities, like groceries. But I did get a good deal on some canned soups, thanks to someone here! I'd like to thank her for telling about Walmart's "Savings Catcher" app, but I don't remember who it was that posted it. Anyhow, I like to keep canned soups on hand during the cold winter months, and I had picked up 6 cans in Walmart. The only other grocery store we have had them on sale for $1.00 a can, (I wasn't even aware of their sale) so Walmart refunded $1.29 each for the 6 cans! Rusty

Cute pic of the dog! Do you have 2 similar? I'd replace those smaller images on each side of yoru window with the dog faces, then a big mirror above your other desk/table. Mirror really opens up a space and makes it feel larger. If you have a TJ Maxx or Home Goods near you, they have so many great/new choices lately..... And maybe a cute chair in the corner?
