Early riser gets punished again this year

My poor Montana Aureomarginatas... They were pipping about 1 inch up when 16 inches of snow came down and turned them to papery mush a little over a week ago. Last year it was a late freeze. It's such a shame because these are gorgeous hostas in springtime, and they will look like crap again this year until a new flush of leaves emerges unscathed. On a happy note, I brought my bowl of potted minis in from outside about a month and a half ago, and have a very cute hosta garden to enjoy until its warm enough to move them outside for good. Same with an old enamelware pot that I planted 2 pathetic pieces of June in last year. They are up and cheering on spring in my kitchen windowsill. No pic today as I am at work now.
