Echeveria subsessilis variegata
Comments (19)Hi ! It's Echeveria peacockii variegata, not subsessilis. There are 2 forms : The most common is often sold as subsessilis variegata but the name subsessilis is not valid anymore : http://www.google.fr/imgres?imgurl=http%3A%2F%2Fpics.davesgarden.com%2Fpics%2F2008%2F08%2F12%2FKell%2Ff43e2e.jpg&imgrefurl=http%3A%2F%2Fdavesgarden.com%2Fguides%2Fpf%2Fshowimage%2F125431%2F&h=797&w=800&tbnid=QBy0Fd5BBqst4M%3A&docid=oe5P8NHwLhMQ_M&ei=8ujVVcD_DoiAaf_WosAF&tbm=isch&iact=rc&uact=3&dur=1758&page=1&start=0&ndsp=18&ved=0CC0QrQMwBGoVChMIwMDpjfS3xwIVCEAaCh1_qwhY The other form is much more rare. It is often sold as Echeveria 'Morning Beauty' variegata but it's not a valid name. The supposedly natural (non-variegated) form of Echeveria peacockii sold as 'Morning Beauty' is not officialy admitted, the name is not valid : https://www.flickr.com/photos/46507860@N02/7982782156/ I think that 'Morning Light' is a non-valid japanese name. I grow both forms, when my plants flower I will get them precisely identified by the ICN....See MoreNEW: New Plant Hoarders Cactus Succulent Swap

Comments (56)Pagan - yeah that's what got him noticed on youtube a few years ago and the rest is history as they say - he also does a nice version while my guitar gently weeps too amongst a load of others :) Well what a performance last night frigging insane, what a talent and what a genuinely nice person too. He played bohemian rhapsody last night too aswell as a selection of tracks from his new album 'Travels' which comes out next month but is on sale at his gigs now. I'll be there, the cover of the Jackson's song, is a lovely piece too. He stayed behind to sign stuff but I didn't wait in the line, I kinda get star struck asking for a picture etc so bought the CD and went - so if you guys get chance to see him live he's a must if your into ukulele music to lift the soul. Fingers crossed he comes back to the UK next year, legend!!...See MoreMy Compton Carousels are here!
Comments (25)Variegates are a little tricky, humidity is dry here in nyc. But it's getting warmer soon, so that might change. I just repotted it because it was getting leggy over winter. I leave it out in the patio, full south west sun all day with loads of fresh air (I'm on the 7th floor). They do exceptionally well in a colder climate with high light. I would advise you to establish and strengthen the root of your plant first before grow it like mine. It may take up a year or so for it to fully acclimatize. My mix is a modified mix of Al's gritty version with 1 part peat soil. Variegates adapts better with some peat soil for their vulnerable roots to hold on to. But you need ALOT of moving air, even indoors, try to put a mini fan to encourage air flow to the roots. Best of luck! Happy Growing!...See MoreAS _NJ ZONE 6B
