I was forced into a remodel due to a flood. I had carpet and thats only amount I got to replace from insurance.

I actually do like warmth of carpet. If I do carpet I was thinking either beige or gray.

Questions:

Should I replace with better grade carpet?

Or

Engineered wood, wood laminate, plank laminate etc?

If i do go with wood/wood look, it is odd if I leave carpet in bedroom and wood outside and tile in bathroom?

Which color you like better? Pic of walls and options of wood.
