I was surprised when I went to pick paint for the master bathroom and master bedroom. I thought I was going to easily go for a very light blue gray like I have in some other areas of my house. But the lighting just didn’t make those colors look good. So sometimes you have to be flexible and go for a different undertone. In my case it was going more towards the green undertones, like North Texas says. You just need to be flexible and find the undertone that looks best with your lighting.

IMO black kitchen cabinets suck light out of the space show every little finger print even worse than stainless and honestly we would need to see thye space I guess and your lighting plan. BTW I think pantry doors should be the same as cabinet doors since really they are just a big cabinet.But without pictures it is hard to say.

Those are pretty! Thanks so much for the advice! Yes I am planning on putting a finish on them with some whitewash, to keep them from turning black again. Want to try to get them to look the color of the inspiration picture in my OP. Unfortunately it’s a double door, and with the wood on it, it’s very heavy, so I can’t add those crossbeams. I am hoping the arches can be removed without breaking the glass. Beverly, any opinion on how SW Modern gray would look with the wood doors, white trim, southern exposure? I’m thinking the other colors we’ve considered will be too light, too yellow, too something! Help!!
