Black spots on new growth on fiddle leaf fig

Hello! This is my first post on this forum!

I bought my fig a couple months ago, and about 3 weeks ago repotted it into gritty mix based on the recommendations in this forum (turface/grower size chicken grit/reptibark).

The new baby leaves look good at first but then develop brown/black spots. Another baby leaf actually fell off and I thought this leaf was healthy but it's starting to turn brown too.

The rest of the large leaves seem healthy

Should I just give it more time to get acclimated after the repot? (I know this wasn't the best time but after learning about soils and water retention I just couldn't leave it in its old soil).

It's near a south-facing glass door, I water every 5-7 days based on how dry the clay pot feels, and fertilized it for the first time last weekend with foliage pro. I'm in Southern California.

Thanks for taking a look!
