Need help with kitchen remodel removing wall and all cabinets
Comments (4)Now I am showing kitchen layout with cabinet and open shelves turned toward front door. Would have mirrors behind to capture view. I also show the pantry to the left of laundry room door. Would you have pantry built with 3 drawers below, pull out shelves behind closed door and above this door a 12" open shelf or a traditional top door cabinet? Would you put an open shelf running above door to laundry room to connect the pantry with cabinets? If put open shelf above laundry room door, would you leave open shelves to right and left of stove or close in with cabinet doors? Would definitely want to leave open cabinet above 30" cabinet beside the refrigerator. Still trying to decide where to put the trash can.... Any suggestions???? Thanks, Jenn...See MoreIs this a good place to relocate a kitchen w a pony wall?
Comments (13)Thanks everyone for taking the time for comments and for your modified mockups! These are great!! I just reviewed these with my partner and we're going ro run them by our plumber to see if they're possible. Unfortunately we may be somewhat limited with moving the washrooms as we live in a concrete high rise :). Interesting enough, our suite's master bathroom was designed to be where Pal has placed it! But the as-built was changed. We'd have to see if we could put in the right plumbing to accomodate. Around 60% of the upstairs exterior walls contain windows of some sort, so that would be a great way to open up the room! If the plumbing can't be swapped, we'll have to consider just different modifications the kitchen layout above the stairs :) Thanks so much again everyone :)!!...See MoreAdvice needed, What to do with walls after wallpaper removal?
Comments (0)Hello everyone! I need ideas. We are doing bathroom renovation in 2 bathrooms. Our renovation includes everything but the walls themselves. We just completed 1 bathroom and are about to start on #2. Both bathrooms had awful wallpaper, which was removed. Bathroom #1 now has beadboard walls (see picture). We want bathroom #2 to be different, but having trouble deciding what to do with the walls. We are on a budget, as we have more renovations to do on this house. Any advice? We don't want to go back with wallpaper and sheetrock isn't an option. Thanks in advance. Any pictures would also be appreciated. We still have to finish painting the bathroom in the picture, but I just wanted to give an idea of what we have already done....See MoreHow would you remove this pony wall?
Comments (4)How will one keep the pony away from the table without the wall? Yes I'd take it apart layer by layer, Maybe put some hardboard over the hardwood on each side for a working surface to protect the hardwood. Maybe the tile will come with the drywall....See Moreeam44
