I think I would try "rivergirl's" idea first and see how you like it. or you could use a different color for each window, i.e. light red and dark red for one window, light green and dark green for another window, light blue and dark blue for a third, etc. If you are going to make attic window blocks, use the light color on the window facing (side) and the dark color on the sill (bottom). At least, that's how I would do it. I would not use white -- at all. Teresa

It's ok to mix primers, but if you are using the latex version of Kilz, that's not going to block odors really or stains. But, in my experience, washing the nicotine/tar stains is usually good enough unless the smoker really smoked a ton in the house. Also, you really need to rinse that TSP well before painting or that may cause some adhesion issues. If you are buying the BIN, what you want is the shellac based stuff, not the synthetic.

I think im going to paint this wall green. What color green will match best with the wood & not make the kitchen look too dark? Also, should I paint just the wall with the windows? Or all around? Im thinking of a white tile or brick behind sink & stove. IM OPEN TO OTHER SUGGESTIONS! :D
