Refrigerator Drawers vs Small undercounter fridge

smallspaces

I have an open space under our kitchen counter that used to house a small 24" wide under-counter refrigerator. We are deciding between replacing it with refrigerator drawers or a small beverage fridge (similar to what was there before).

My initial gut was to do the drawers, but the cubic capacity of two drawers is much less than a small fridge. I think the drawers are just kind of cool looking - but does anyone have any input on actual FUNCTIONAL differences between the drawers and a small fridge?

We could also do some carpentry to increase the space to 30" wide, but two 30" wide drawers still have a smaller capacity than a 24" fridge...

Not sure why these decisions are so hard! Please give your opinion!
