Hoya obscura? Does anyone know where I can get one?
Comments (16)Just curious thanks GG, especially in the context of being too cold to ship plants to where you are or not. Serious cold kicked in to NYC today, 30s, w/ windchill in 20s. I've been sick so stayed in today playing w/ plants, cleaning up lots of pots, quilting, & then OOPS!! My Bldg's alternate energy sources (generators) pooped out at 7:30 pm. Too early to sleep so I came all the way outside to find Internet to play. No more Hoyas for me 'til Spring I think -- Happy Holidays everybody!!...See MoreHow to take care of Imp.tuberosa...a caudiciform from Madagascar
Comments (2)Thank you Derick! Just today morning, I found my only one left plant has started shooting 2-3 buds on the top of caudex. So I watered with some fungicide and moved it to get more sunlight . As I was told from my Madagascar friend that the plant came from an Island in north Madagascar. The plant found on limestone mountain with tropical climate, so he stated I could keep this one, but !!! anyways I'll try my best. PS. After beginning of our rainy season, which quite late this year, my Impatiens mirabilis are now set some seed pot. Strange, I found that some seedlings from the white-pink flower, they appear to be yellow flower!!...See MoreDoes anyone know where I can get this from????
Comments (8)Missymar, If you're still building you could use what I used. 4x4 window @ $740 plus shipping from www.texascustomdoors.com when I bought it last year. It is completely obscure but it lets in a ton of light. They have other choices including ones with colored glass. Of course, if you're already past that point an entirely different window won't help you. Comments (11)I just did this....6 fish oil caps in my sweater pocket. I have been running loads (my clothing that was affected and towels that were not in the same load) all week ((5 times so far) with hot water, bleach, baking soda, and then drying them with multiple dryer sheets. I also washed the inside of my dryer with diluted bleach. The clothes still stink, but definitely less. The towels, which got the smell either from the washer or dryer, are finally almost ok. I read that someone put lemon essential oil and on guard essesstial oil in their washer and that worked. I'm going to try that next. ....other things I've read but not tried: Soak in tub with baking soda over night, Natures Miracle odor and pet stand laundry detergent from Petco, BTW, it's nice to know I'm not the only person to have ever done this!!!! Good luck everyone....See Moreberkeleysgr8
