I think SS deliberately makes the process difficult, from what I have heard the process can take a year or more. There are lawyers that specialize in SS,who help with the paperwork and negotiations, who do not need to be paid out of pocket, instead their fee comes from the back payments SS sends once there is final approval.

Yes I have a very good attorney so I'm not worried about that. But social security disability bombards me with excess paperwork that I have to take to all 9 of my doctors. We spend more time working on paperwork than actual care as my doctors fill the paperwork out during my visit. Or they'll charge me extra.

They sent 18 pages last week to be completed. I was such a basket case last week I had my attorneys paralegal do it all. I gave them a list of my doctors, visits and ER visits & all imagine & radiology exams done along with medicines. I said here you go. I just can't focus on this and getting it right.

This was the paperwork to request my judge hearing trial so I didn't want to mess it up.

That, along with fighting my company for long term disability (which I won in August) was also a nightmare. Ridiculous.

Oh, dogs with pink patches on their noses/snouts are my weakness LOL! Sometimes Cooper will lay like that and make noises or wiggle around to get my attention. I look over and say "Why was it so important that I look UP your nostrils, you weirdo" lolol!

I have friends who spent a lifetime smoking and now that they are older, they are paying a huge price for it with COPD and diminished health. You can do this....keep up the good work.

Scott, I didn't know you smoked...but now that I do your not too old for a butt smack....omg and don't you have one lung and lung cancer...I'm very glad you quit,, but your not off the hook from the butt smack...

quit for a week! :(. They both get bronchitis and cough all the time...

I'm one of those rare blue moon people who started young and still was able to quit cold turkey. That was 45 years ago. I dreamed about it for a few years but never picked it up again. My father quit cold turkey too and had the same result.

Well, apparently pups are supposed to be a good stress-reliever and it looks like you have a couple of great stress-relievers in your life. Lucky you!

Great dog pics! I quit smoking almost 5 yrs ago. I will never smoke again because quitting was the hardest thing I have ever done and I never want to go through that again. My brother was just recently approved for his SS Disability. His came through really quick. He is 57, worked a physical job for the past 37 years, he went to a lawyer first and the lawyer told him he didn't need him, his paperwork was in good order, he had worked the same job for years and he had paperwork from the doctor stating that his body was no longer able to do the job he had done for most of his life. He got approved in about 2 months without any problems, never heard of it going so smoothly. It was a huge relief to my brother, said it was the first good nights sleep he had had in months.
