Aloe Vera Blooms I.D. Needed
Comments (19)Well I'll say Aloe Camperonii seemed to be the favored one. Cactusmchsrris, looks like you were right , right from the start. Denise, Miss goddess. I think you just scored a new name, fitting too, looks like you also get to advance to the next level of jeopardy for plant species, good job! Wantonmara, thank you for joining us and you came in full of confidence knowing almost instantly that it had many similaraties to your own Aloe cameronii and you were right. The leaves are thick on this species and very firm, I wasnt sure at first if it was A. Cameronii because some of the other names also looked close. Again I use E.B. Stone cacti and succulent mix and miracle grow here and there, Rosemariero6, you were leaning the right way from the beginning, and you were right and the stems do branch out and have multiple blooms on them. Thanks for joining us on this round of identifying Aloes with blooms . Josh, I can't leave you out brother you showed up and admitted from the gate, Hey I have no idea what it is but said, it sure is some eye candies, thanks just for showing up to comment as you say, the more the merier. See you on the Sanseveria plant section and remember "NO WATERING UNTIL WE SEE GROWTH". Should there be any questions on any other possible I.D's for this Aloe please do post it. And Good night yall, omg It's midnight here and I've got to get to sleep, this is an addiction, at least its a good one. Greg...See MoreShow us your winter colors
Comments (16)Beautiful pics! Mara, Aloe cameronii has always been a favorite of mine...that color, that texture! And Rosemarie, you know I'm partial to your Jades...wish I could get that kind of Winter color on mine ;-) This is a succulent at my brother's house in Sacramento, where I visited yesterday. He started this as a cutting, from a plant growing outside of a business. I can't wait to see it trimmed...lots of back-budding. Josh...See MoreI'm In Love
Comments (16)Thanks, you guys! I was inspired by all the colors this morning, then the baby fell asleep on me for about an hour so I had time to post. Sorry I was lazy about some of the ID's. A few of them, I don't know so feel free to jump in. Colleen, thanks for the ID on Pachyphytum compactum. It's that thing where you know the ID but you never label it, thinking you'll remember and then you don't? Sound familiar? Anyway, what you said is the exact same reason I love it. Tom, hahahaha, no. ;) Since you asked though, there are some tiny pups on it. Let's see where they're at in a year. Rina, I don't know what that plant is. I call it my red monster! My best guess is that it's some type of Crassula. Here are some close-ups of the reverted parts....See Morealoe id please
Comments (7)Hi Norma, It was labeled as aloe arborescens red. The leaves don't look like an arborescens to me. Cactusmcharris, I was thinking of Cameronii myself; do they form a trunk that high like the one in the photo? thx...See Morekwie2011
