As you can see, it's the top one. This is the first one we've tried to put on. Following the instructions, it should be installed on the third hole down, but that left a large gap. Moving it up a hole put beyond the top of cabinet.

When you attached the glides to the cabinet, did you use the top row of holes or the bottom row on the glide? It looks you maybe used the top holes instead of the bottom holes which could account for the difference.

The holes that you use to screw in the glides will also change with each location of the drawer. It is kind of smart how IKEA made these cabinets so modular and customizable, but it makes it confusing when you are trying to assemble and install! :-)

Oh gosh. It's so easy to mix up the drawer assembly and install. I'd go back and make sure you did them correctly. It's been 1.5 years since I did it, so I don't know exactly where all the opportunities for error are, but I definitely had to redo a few before I found my groove.

Did you put the drawer front on wrong?

Did you check how you screwed in the glides? Which holes did you use?

I'm feeling your pain right now. I remember the Sektion learning curve. By the time you're done with your kitchen you'll feel like you could quickly bust out another if you had to (not that you'll want to. Ha.)

If you are using the bottom holes of the glides, and your glides look just like Benjesbride's picture, then the problem is probably how you screwed the bracket on to the drawer front. I would double check that again by removing the door front and making sure you used the correct holes according to the instructions. Your measurement should be similar to the second picture.

Yeah, I'm remembering the pain of this also. :-) But it is rewarding once you are done!

You will get it. Once you do, maybe you should do all the 5" drawers next so that you know you are using the correct holes. The next drawer will be different, so it might be better to do all the similar ones at the same time.

Is your drawer front and the rail installed just like the photo? Not sure how something could be wrong with the cabinet box. Hmm.

Oh, Lisa that's a great tip to do all the 5s and then the 10s and so on.

And you're sure it's not the drawer front? There should be a half inch of drawer front below the bottom of the drawer. I'm wondering if you measured if you'd find there's closer to an inch of drawer front hanging below the bottom of the drawer.

I did the same thing. I think I put the screws in the wrong holes when I attached to drawer front. Check the directions. It depends on the position of the drawer and whether it is an internal or external drawer.

My husband just reminded me that I put the brackets on the drawer fronts upside down. Gah! But we got it figured out eventually and to who ever reads this thread while filled with Sektion frustration, you will too :-)

I'm guessing it has to do with the drawer front. There are two parts to the directions, one for if it is for an interior (hidden) drawer, vs a typical drawer. Where you screw those bell shaped metal pieces into the drawer front (done before you snap the front into the drawer) is what is different depending on the type of drawer you're doing. I'm pretty sure yours is screwed in as if it is for a hidden drawer as that kind does sit a bit lower that the regular drawer. The portion you made the mistake on should be back really close to the beginning of the drawer instructons and will require you to remove the drawer front. How to do that is in the video benjiesbride linked to.
