Comments (123)Wow, we have this swap wrapped up already! Way to go, GIRLS!! :o) Ya'll are awesome, as usual! Theresa~ Great box, I know you'll enjoy every bit of it! Sounds like it was good timing, too. Dottie~ "And bamboo is so ungrateful! Every time I helped one up, it slapped me in the face." ROFL!! Oh, goodness...I can't help it....I'm still wiping tears from my eyes. That is some "liberated" bamboo! *giggle* It reminds me of when my brother held a door open for a "liberated" woman! She slapped his face & told him she wasn't helpless. Good grief! I told him to not let it bother him, she probably just wasn't used to southern hospitality. That's how we raise 'em down here- you ALWAYS open doors for ladies (and even a few gents now & then, if you're first in line). Now he asks before he opens doors.."Uh, are you liberated or southern?" LOL! So I hope that DH replenished your wine supply for you. Sounds like you had quite the day & you certainly need some relaxation! Laura~ The bird watching sounds like a great activity for the family. We have TONS of birds here- chickadees, titmice, cardinals (hundreds of these!!), wrens, bluebirds (funny time of year for them!)...so we will definitely have much to report! :o) The weekend is almost here! YAY!!! ******** MARGARET sends to CAROL~ received CAROL sends to HEIDI~ received HEIDI sends to THERESA~ received THERESA sends to LAURA~ received LAURA sends to MELISSA~ received MELISSA sends to MARGARET~ received ********...See Moreobf february fairy theme valentines trade
Comments (173)Annie I received your e-mail. Glad you received the prizes and valentine gift. Love all the fairy packages. Rita I received your box today and loved it all. The post office is so rough on packages the cute little fairy arrived broken along with the heart box. Rita you sent so much, two boxes of candy (Yum), valentine card, two precious bear valentine figurines, angel figurine, valentine pencil-pencil sharpener-eraser and note pad. Thank you so much. Sheri-Sorry to read your Birthday gift was missing from the card...I found some black sharpie retractable markers and included one for plant labeling. If I find them again I will send you another. Melinda did receive hers so that one was still intact. Here is the message I received from Melinda via facebook. Dear Shirley, Thank you so much for the beautiful card and new marker pen! So needed that! I am trying to get on the new GW and have tried for days! Don't know if it is my computer or what, but can't sign it, can't connect with FB or anything. I may have to make a new Yahoo account and everything to make a new sign in, not sure. But it is extremely frustrating! Could you please say Thank you to all the ladies...See MoreOBF February Swap: A Blast from the Past # 2
Comments (166)Yea, Erica! You got it right with Johnny Weissmuller. You probably knew that already because all the clues fit together when you get it right. Some information/explanations: He won a total of 5 Olympic gold medals, 3 in the Paris 1924 and 2 in the Amsterdam 1928 Olympic Games (clues included collected gold, two very successful gold finding trips, played games in Paris, famous for something before he was a famous actor, part of the golden age of sports (1920's) before he was part of the golden age of Hollywood). I really didn't think about one's golden years until I saw how that clue was interpreted yesterday. I thought someone would have googled golden age and found out about the golden age of sports. The US Olympic committee calls him swimming'a first superstar. I really thought someone would have gotten it with clue 5. He was a legendary swimmer, and he starred as Tarzan, the legendary lord of the jungle. Further I used the word guerilla soldiers on purpose since it sounded like gorilla, and he managed to avoid capture by doing his Tarzan yell and then the soldiers recognized him, were big fans, and escorted him safely back to the hotel. Great job, Erica! This concludes the Blast from the Past Password game. Thank you for playing, everyone! Erica, I will get your prize out to you. I will post my package from Amy when I get back on Wednesday....See Moregardengirl37232
