Show me your black or dark gray quartz countertops!
Comments (6)We don't have them yet, but we will be getting Cambria Edinborough. We wanted something that didn't lean towards green, or blue, or yellow, and didn't have lots of sparkle. It has texture with black and brown, and small sparks of white. Neutral but interesting. Here is a link that might be useful: Cambria Edinborough...See MoreBlack/dary grey vs white quartz countertop
Comments (1)I have both, Cambria Brittanicca on my perimeter cabs, and Cambria Ella on my island - both are white quartz. The smudges drive me nuts and they don't come off with a damp paper towel wipe. You really need to rub them out, or use one of their recommended cleaning products (I use Lysol disinfectant wipes) to get it all off. No idea how black compares....See MoreMy Brand New Quartz Countertop Stained
Comments (9)Joseph, so you are correct in making any statements, our cleaning products DO NOT contain any soap, nor do they contain any detergents, or surfactants. Actually they are all 100% natural, safe on all stone of any brand, type and finish. Plus are 100% biodegradable etc. They are made by industry professionals AKA Master stonemasons for the stone industry. How's your university studies going? or they did not let you back after your Hot for Teacher incident? lauramandy4 there is a couple of issues going on here, 1) Pink Tylenol has a food coloring in it and will cause the staining to the quartz 2) Cilantro or Coriander as it is also known as has a strong chlorophyll pigment in it and why you are getting this issue as well. Both can be easily solved by using out Stone Power Cleaner which is available on Amazon in the USA and Canada via FBA and Prime. See our video for Turmeric etc as these cause the same issue and extremely easy to remove with a spray and wipe of our Stone Power Cleaner' https://youtu.be/JwVYmANZLxY This issue with 409 and my assumption is you are refering to the multipurpose cleaner is that it does not remove stains, plus it is Caustic with a pH of around 11.5 which is higher than most drain & oven cleaners. NOTE: any other product from 409 WILL CAUSE damage to the quartz. The use of 409 products would void sections 4,7 and 11 of your Quartz Masters warranty. http://www.quartzmasters.com/care-and-maintenance/#residential...See Morewhite quartz countertops....turmeric staining.
Comments (418)Fsal, that poultice works pretty good for oil stains. I tried it a few years ago on my carrara (before it was properly sealed). made the paste and covered it with a moistened paper towel, and then the plastic wrap. left it for a day or two. it does draw up the oil. you may have to repeat. They also sell these poultices ready-made (search "marble poultice") for stains. ILoveMod quartz is man-made. quartzite is natural. (quartzite is made of natural quartz but it's called quartzite). as for the resin, cheaper quality quartz may use a cheaper resin/materials. The most common yellow stains on any quartz brand countertop are the following; 1) General yellowing to the entire quartz surface due to build up of salts & surfactants 2) Around under mounted sinks - due to salts & surfactants in dish soaps. High pH 3) high use & cleaned area. 4) Under coffee machines 5) under pot plants on the quartz countertop 6) under dish mats or drying mats near the sink 7) under fish tanks. All of the above allow the salts & surfactants to form and generate the quartz countertops causing the yellow or light brown staining. As you will notice that UV light does not generate dish mats, under fish tanks and also pot plants. Whilst UV light can accelerate the yellow staining to white quartz countertops. IT IS NOT THE CAUSE! (they even mention high humidity and relation to salt water as contributing!)
