Help me pick a backsplash!
Comments (34)Thanks for everyones help! It's been a long road.....we had to move out for a bit to finish up. @Romy718- you are amazing, thank you! I will post a photo when completed! Here are some tile choices. I like white and am terrified to do anything else. Here are my options: ( just look at the 2x8 tile as we are not doing the marble).Left one is a handmade/painted tile.Right is machine made. It will look stacked and have some dimension when installed to give it some texture/character....See MoreHelp Me Pick a Backsplash
Comments (6)If you love the current backspl and the quality of the current counter appears to be fine what is the goal of the remodeling? Or why not choose a counter that goes with bkspl?...See MoreHelp me pick backsplash
Comments (13)none. remove that 4" piece and pick a solid color tile. You either keep the 4" splash, or remove it and do a full backsplash. you don't do both. if you like the glass bars, then do a solid color. those are way way too busy for your countertop. You'll hate it once it's in. solid glass bars or these glass subway tiles or something like these (these are not small mosaics. these pieces are about 4" or so) dove gray 4x12 subways. Do you have Cambria Berwyn? here it is w/this gray tile called Agora Piastrella in Sage...See MoreHelp me pick a backsplash - round 3
Comments (32)WOW,, this is a hard choice! When I cover two options to look at each one individually, they all look like great possibilities. Seriously they all look good. My question is which one is what you like? I know, you don't know hence the post with images... The hard part is the each one of us has a different monitor with variations on lighting. When I look at all three together the right one looks too dark. But then I cover the other two and right one could really work. Then I go back to the middle one saying with the right lighting and maybe their is more gray veining in the counter that could bring that color out. I go back to the first and say it has a slight green hint to the gray color and looks gorgeous...I always lean toward green so this could just be me. Which one? Which one? If I were making the choice right now based on the colors I see before me, I would choose the far right. It does appear darker than the others but it feels like it works with the counters. And something about the far right doesn't have green and while dark it seems to really match the counter. And if you have lots of light coming into the space it is not going to look to dark. And just seeing all your options is giving me lots to think about in my own space ahead....See MoreMDLN
