Move from a 27 inch to 24 inch sink base kitchen cabinet?

My laminate kitchen counter top needs to be replaced and plan to update the sink as well. The over mount white American standard rear left drain sink appears to be in a 27 inch ( 25 inches interior width) base cabinet. Water has leaked into the base cabinet on the sides, so will need to replace the sink base cabinet as well. I am thinking about moving to a 24 inch based kitchen cabinet to gain 3 inches in my small kitchen.

The kitchen sink is on the right of a blind corner followed by the dishwasher and freestanding stove. My idea is add the 3 inches to the thin filler between the dishwasher and stove, so I could put cookie sheets there.

I did notice that the ELKay does make an undermount stainless steel sink with the rear drain on the left but it stated the minimum cabinet size is 27 inch.

Researching 24 inch sinks, I did come up with ELKay Lustertone undermount sink with a center rear drain that was similar in interior dimensions of the American standard sink.

So I am trying to decide if I should reduce the sink base or stay with current size.

Any opinions?
