Mostly accessories right now. I've just ordered a new sofa, loveseat, cocktail table and end table and that'll be it for furniture for awhile except for a couple of dining chairs. For those I'd originally been attracted to the Pottery Barn Grayson side chair but have expanded my search considerably since then. I satisfied my punch of color need with a couple of lime green leather storage ottomans. In my search for affordable-to-me chairs I've come across so many really cool-but-too-pricey-for-me options that I'm just waiting for the right chair/right time/right price. The project I'm turning my attention to now is a three shelf niche in my front entry (through which no one enters). Shelves are narrow, one 3" and two 4". I'll post a picture in a little bit. It takes me a long time for that process so I'll finish this post first. My house is a 150+ year old Cape with antiques from my mother, hand-me-downs from family and a few things I've purchased which until this year were decidedly not modern. I've changed out the living room window treatments and rods which transformed the whole look of the room and just taking the tablecloth off the dining room table was an improvement. I'm in the middle of recovering the dining room chairs--but had to refinish first--with a geometric design fabric. So, just for eye candy I'm happy to look at all sites.

We are very happy with both of our W. Schillig leather sectionals (both are contemporary in design/ style). Both of ours were built in their Asian (China) factories, but they also have styles that are built in their European factories if country of origin is an issue. I'd posted in the Furniture forum re: issues our first sectional (in our living room) had had, which were all resolved early on. We got our second W. Schillig sectional for the family room a few years later, so we were obviously happy with any issue resolution. I think a key thing, is to order from a reputable dealer/showroom; one that will stand behind what they sell and follow through with the manufacturer if there are any problems. I called W. Schillig USA in High Point last year to inquire about obtaining (purchasing) replacement feet for our LR sectional. A strip of the black veneer on one of the feet had chipped off (after a good whack with the vacuum most likely). New feet (to replace all of them) were sent out at no charge. The sectional was about 8 or 9 years old at this point, so it was quite a nice surprise that they sent them at no charge.

Agree that Kivik is good looking, but don’t think it comes as sleeper sofa...? I think that was a requirement.. maybe IKEA Finnala could work- it’s not as nice looking as Kivik IMHO but very simple and practical. The foam in many sofas will most definitely be a type of plastic, so might be a no-no... I think OP will have a hard time getting away from that though..

I would also remove the small bookcase on the wall and put a colorful large vertical piece of art that you love on that wall. if there is room, possibly add an accent chair in that corner with the floor lamp. the lamp needs a companion in that corner and possibly a chair, again if there is room
