Persil Powder, where is it?
Comments (32)You're right Mitch, a second bottle isn't a bad idea. I do use more per wash load of powders, then others on the forum. probably about 50%. That is according to what others have reported over the last few years. I also add STPP, about 2 TBS. I often split the detergent into a prewash and a main wash dispenser. I have been happy with this. I get a few suds but not much. Off topic, I've used Cheer, and I don't get over sudsing. I do get more than with Persil, but its not "over sudsing" IMO. But I am using the Cheer for non farm clothes. I have a fair amount of detergent and like to get it used up. Tide is the first to run out and I can't wait. I just need one heavy duty powder and I like the Persil. You guys have been terrific in helping me with this small dilemma. Finding the Persil has made me happy :)...See MorePersil Universal Powder
Comments (16)Alex the only reason I still had any left is I refused to use it as than it would be gone which of course is exactly what has happened LOL. I use Persil Pearls most of the time, which of course I adore, but the Universal powder at least for me has better whitening. Probably not enough to justify the high cost though. I used to be a die hard Tide with Bleach powder fan, but now I can't stomach the scent, *sigh*....I am on the hunt for the Tide Pro and keep watching Ollies in hopes they still have some that they haven't yet put out, Tide Pro is very good at whitening since it has much more Sodium percarbonate in it. Its also nice that its been formulated to be less alkaline than the regular Tide with Bleach powder so its easier on my sheets that get washed so frequently....See MorePersil (USA) Power-Pearls being discontinued??
Comments (91)Yes, allergic to Tide Free and Gentle AND Tide Pur. It's very frustrating. I've tried All Free and Clear, but it has been a while. I bought a ton of Wisk Pure and Free?, but I ran out of that sometime last summer, and I don't have anymore. The Biokleen is only HE because it requires less detergent. I don't know that I trust it. I tend to have to use quite a bit of detergent when washing, though I haven't had sudsing issues with most detergents, even with adding STPP. I'm super bad about getting stains out, but I do wash diapers, and they have to be clean. I'm hoping that the toddler decides to potty learn soon, but he's not super excited about it. I need to use something with OB's in it because I hate dingy whites. When I used only Country Save, everything was dingy. :(...See MoreUSA Persil Power Pearls....Good & Bad
Comments (7)I will try using less Power Pearls in the next few loads. I remember years and years ago (mid/late 1990's) when I got my first Miele washing machine (I think it was the beloved W1986), and we had our demo at our local Miele store in Beverly Hills (we lived right there). They had Persil powders in pretty, glass jars (but labeled what they were). At the time, the Miele reps said to use 1/2 to 1 TBS. of powder for each load, MAX. The Power Pearls cleaned better than I could have imagined, and everything smelled and looked amazing...so I will not give up yet. Worst case...I can use them for soaking/hand washing in our deep laundry room sink! Also, they Power Pears were 100% dust free!!!! As much as I used to love and use mainly powders, the dust always bothered me. Sometimes I could feel it being inhaled into my lungs, and it would cause me to have a cough fit. The Pearls are totally dust free!! P.S. I will not and cannot give up my liquid fabric softener, LOL. Some loads are fine without it...I NEVER use softener on kitchen towels, microfiber or my plethora of workout wear!!!...See Morelarsi_gw
