I don't know it you model has fuel pump or not. IF not the tank should be higher than the engine? Well, Not that uncommon when mower sets. This is what I would Do> remove the gas line front the tank up to the fuel filter lower it gas should poor out. If not you have and obstruction in the tank or hose. Now that you got gas up to the fuel filter. remove the hose after the fuel pump (If you have one?) if not gas goes directly to the carb. and gravity feed supplys fuel to the needl and seat in the carb. bowl) With fuel pump hose remove at the carb. crank the engine over catching any fuel in can that might be pumping out. Fuel coming out? attch hose to carb. Now you can PRIME the engine for starting. I never attempt to start an engine that's being setting without priming it. (to do full prime remove the spark plug or plugs. connect and crank engine to see if you have good spark. GOt spark, then using carb. cleaner spray 3 to 4 second blast of carb. cleaner down spark plug hole. Crank then engine over (outside with spark plug wire away from spark plug hole so it won't ground out and light the carb. cleaner) Crank the engine for 3 or 4 seconds to blow out excess carb. cleaner that hasn't evaporated. Put the spark plugs back in, remove the air cleaner and spray carb. cleaner down the carb. venturi (opening) one to two seconds. Now you have the engine primed to start and it should fire within 5 seconds. If not repeat spraying carb. cleaner down the carb. Now that you got it firing off the carb. cleaner and it dies (make take two or three times for it to take off on gas due to air trapped in the fuel system. If that fails then I would remove the carb. bowl and spray the needle and seat.. This works on any gasoline engine and I have rarely failed to get any gas engine started reguardless how long it set. Basic as suggested you have to get fuel to the carb. before you have chance to get it started by priming it. If it don't run off gas just priming fluid then you have to figure out why gas won't got through the carb. and run on it's own. which as suggested needle stuck to the seat or the jet passages are plugged up.

They a check valve in carb. that close makes primary pump work if its destroy I've replaced Carburetor on my engines.

The PTO I refer is is how your deck blades are engaged/disengaged. If you have an electric PTO clutch you just flip (or pull) a switch on the dash to engage/disengage the blades. Having a manual PTO means you must physically operate some kind of large lever control to engage/disengage the blades. Because of the extra electrical load imposed by having the electric PTO clutch, a higher amp alternator, along with a higher amp fuse is required in tractors with that feature. Looking at this schematic, I see that a simple diode (without a regulator) is featured as a current rectfier.............that means low output charging system, hence the 15 amp fuse specification. I also see a PTO switch, but no electric PTO clutch. That means that THIS switch is a safety switch (part of safety interlock circuit) and functions only to kill the engine, or to inhibit the cranking motor, under certain conditions. And to re-state for the 1,000th (or so) time. The electric fuel solenoid on ANY outdoor power equipment is only there to help prevent the loud afterfire BANG! that can occur when shutting down the engine. The afterfire solenoid IS NOT tasked to shut off ALL fuel flowing INTO the carburetor. It is tasked only to shutting off the fuel flowing OUT of the carburetor MAIN JET. When the key switch is turned off, the fuel solenoid blocks only the carb main jet, and that is how it prevents the shut down bang blues. But, the carb pilot jet can still flow a little bit of fuel, and that is why it is recommended to also have (and use) a manual fuel shut off valve. The manual valve, if closed at all times except when the engine is running, will absolutely prevent you from ever having an engine get drowned with gasoline during storage. The afterfire solenoid cannot provide any protection against fuel drowning of the engine if a carb needle valve leaks during storage of the machine..........because it does not block the pilot jet. So if you did not know why an engine has a fuel solenoid valve, maybe now you do.

Hi All, I've been so busy. I made cookies and stuff all night after work and then I answered some email. I wasn't going to write anything tonight because I'm tired. I was ready to go to bed but I realized it may be awhile until I can post again. So I want to tell the story I promised before. 11 years ago in August, Gary's brother, Joe, died helping a motorist who's car had been hit on a major highway. He got struck by a motorcycle that was speeding and then a car driven by a drunk driver. It was as you can imagine was quite an awful time. We as a family decided to donate all of Joe's organs. We felt that he died trying to help someone and it is what he would of wanted. Thanksgiving with Gary's family wasn't the best that year of course. Christmas as far as I could see wasn't going to be much better. On Christmas morning Gary and I got up. He was watching tv, and I was reading the newspaper. I started to read the letter to the editor part of the paper. There was letter from a woman from NJ writing to thank the family who made the decision to donate the organs of the man who had died on the highway. At that point, I just started to whell up with tears and Gary of course couldn't figure out why the paper would make me cry. I tried to read out loud to him, but I couldn't get it out and by that time I was bawling. The woman's brother had received Joe's heart, and surely would of died. It was a wonderful thing she did sending that letter. We were very sad, but we were also very happy to know that people were alive because of him. It made a tough Christmas bearable. So the best gift we ever got cost no more than the time it took her to write a letter and the stamp to mail it. (As a side note,Gary's parents eventually found out about all the people(info without names) he helped. And they did meet the man who got his lungs and became friends with him. They also are active members in UNYTS, the local organ donor group. Also the next year Gary's sister had a baby, the first grandchild. There's nothing like a baby to help lift people's spirits.)
