Comments (15)Christmas mess doesn't count as mess, Susan! :-) Gazania, I never thought of how unusual a family photo Christmas card must have been back then, but I'm sure you're right. My parents made them for years, starting before I was born--my mom doing the artwork and my dad taking the pictures and printing all the cards in his darkroom. When I was a child we would sit around the kitchen table together and look at all the cards we received, commenting on each one. I tried to continue that tradition when my children were growing up, but their interest was limited and their father's interest nonexistent. Comments (9)As angels go, she is pretty pathetic, but this is the one that has topped our tree for 56 years. She and the stars around her were attached to the bow on my very first Christmas present from the man I would marry in 6 months. Comments (14)PKponder, yes, of course you can use it. And as an aside, DH pronounced it a great puzzle to do. Not nearly as easy as it looks. Pieces shaped so alike that it was easy to get pieces in the wrong place, not realizing it till you had placed many, many pieces around the area, and suddenly nothing fits....See More

I bought several of these cute little Norfolk Pine trees that are decorated and living plants and gave them to some of my elderly neighbors that didn't have a tree this year. Some just can't do it anymore and some lost it all in the flood. So now they have a little tree they can plant. I am taking one to my neighbor that invited us to dinner also. She has several tall Norfolk Pines in planters she decorates. This will be a festive table centerpiece. They were so cute I just had to! I failed to get one for myself lol.

9 years agoIt's a catastrophe! My sister, affectionately known in the family as the cat lady, gave us these Christmas presents this year. She knows we are dog people. Merry Christmas!
