My Flower isn't growing why?
Comments (2)Your bulb in the garden in California may not go into a dormant period, depending where you are in California. Nornally it will bloom in May in the garden. Here in Sunset zone 15 they always go dormant when the weather cools. They are planted with 25% of the bulb above the soil in an area shaded from the west. Drip irrigation keeps them growing all summer. I remove the daughter bulbs and plant them separately. I do not fertilize the planting bed but do keep it fertile by additions of compost spring and fall. Red Lion is probably the most common of the Amaryllis sold for Christmas time blooming. Mine are several different cultivars received as Christmas gifts. Al...See MoreWhy Isn't Terrible Market Reflected in Media Reports?
Comments (22)Shenandoah, I sell RE on and around Lake Norman and Charlotte. What is your MLS #? I would like to take a look at the listing. Also, if you are located on Lake Norman, did your agent explain to you that there are 7 years worth of inventory of just waterfront homes? Right from the start, you have a 50 / 50 chance of being a winner or a loser as far as geting the home sold. Like Chiuse said... you CAN NOT chase the market downwards. You have to price it a bit below market value to get serious interest. What Buyer in their right mind is going to pay market value for a home, knowing that in two months it is going to be worth less. They want a cushion. They will get it. From you, or from the guy down the street. Do not sell the boat slip to your neighbor! If you do, you just decreased the Buyer pool even further. Buyers are making their decision on one thing and one thing only right now, and that is perceived value. In other words, price. It is not true that you can not sell your home. you just need to price it right. A lot of agents do not know how to do this in a market like this. Your appraisal of 12 months ago means nothing to no one. Throw it away. Find what compareable homes are selling for, and then price it at least 15% under those. You need to sell. Interest rates are going up. Each time they do, your Buyer pool gets smaller. Do not get caught up with lowering your price little by little, and never being in front of the curve. You spent your savings and borrowed money for the stager. You need to sell tomorrow! Do not let yourself become one of those that gets foreclosed on or forced into a short sale. Speak with your agent today and come up with a good plan. Good luck....See MoreIsn't this adorable?!
Comments (21)"Just curious, why did you buy a onsie on line?? You could've bought one at Walmart or Target for a LOT cheaper and had it the same day! :) Just curious..........." I've been making lifelike dolls and dressing them for years. It's been my experience that long sleeve, white ,heavy fabric onsies are hard to find. The regular onsies that come three in a pack are too light weight. I wanted a heavier one and those are harder to find. Normally they come in colors or have designs on them. I guess I could have bought one with a Christmas design, but I wanted it as close to the one in the picture. And besides...I never was one to think things through before I start a project. lol...See MorePhalaenopsis seedling isn't growing
Comments (25)I have deflasked phalaenopsis and learned a great many things. First is that they require humidity and warmth. Seedlings that are not growing might be suffering from root dampening or a fungus that eats their roots. The best advice I can give you is to spray fungicide onto the growing medium once a month and give them fertilizer weak doses every 2 weeks and flush the pot well with water on the next watering. Give it a east window or west but watch how much sun they get it can be too much in afternoons. Filtered by a sheer drape is better then. They like to be kept moist but not wet if that makes sense to you. Or put a tray of pebbles with water in it for humidity beneath it. Night time temps can drop to 65 degrees. Good luck....See Morededtired
