Any good roses at Roses Unlimited sale?
Comments (17)It depends on where you live. It's $5 for packing & handling and then $x/rose, "x" being determined by where you live. There's a page on-site that tells you how to figure it out. I live in U.S. Postal Zones 2 or 3 which is $3/rose + $5 P/H= shipping charges. Hope that helps. :) Here is a link that might be useful: Shipping charges for RU....See MoreRoses Unlimited sale roses [photo]
Comments (7)I agree, Lana, Roses Unlimited send the best own roots! And, I tried restraint during the sale. I DO NOT need any more roses, and I already got very nice ones from them this Spring. Plus, I recently succumbed to EuroDesert's Sale, plus Nor'Easts sale, plus bought some from Rogue Valley. My resolve lasted until Monday! So, next week, I will be receiving: OCCHI DI FATA, SUNI and ROYAL WEDDING. Oh, and mgleason, you are going to love PAW MAW! I got it in Spring and it is growing very well and blooming beautifully. Plus, I have all three of the ones you are getting this week, but may have accidenly killed HENRI MATISSE. It was planted too close to the sprawling GRIMALDI, so I tried to move it - way too late in the season. I may have to order another one! NOOOOOOOO more roses! Stop me before I order again!!!...See MoreYour favs from Roses Unlimited :0)
Comments (23)I don't know how to answer that question, because I've always received such excellent plants from RU. I love their collection - so many things to try. Pat talked me into Quietness. In its first season its grown like a weed and bloomed almost continuously. I'm really impressed. Pale pink and fragrant. I buy Bucks from RU - several new ones every year. The Buck roses have come to be one of the backbones of my garden. I bought Golden Unicorn this year also - what georgeous blooms. Pat got me started with Francis Dubreuill - I have two of them now. I bought Burgendy Iceberg there this year - all the good things about Iceberg plus the incredible color--iut truely is a deep burgendy color. Gruss an Aachen and Pink Gruss an Aachen. The English Miss. To be honest, I bet at least 60% of my roses come from RU. I wish I could start at the front of their catalogue and buy my way all the way to the last page....See MoreChrysler Imperial from Roses Unlimited?
Comments (9)Ceterum, I've spoken to him on the phone; actually was going to order Chrysler Imperial from him 2 years ago but talked myself out of it. He seems very honest, even emphasizing that this all his efforts, he's had one or two roses that had tested as RMV-free that later showed signs of the virus, so he replaced the stock again. Irish Rose Grower, you comment is encouraging. I already know I've been very pleased with RU's roses in the past. I was just wondering about this one. I vaguely recall someone on this forum a few years back complaining that his CI from RU was not clean. RU has 2 other roses I'm after, so maybe I'll order another rose from them AND CI from Appalachan Rose; not that I have extra space. :/ Mike...See MoreLisa Adams
