Georgect, thx so much for your response. The granite folks are doing the install today and they r also providing the SS Sink. Unfortunately, the person doing the plumbing work is not going to be here today. Additionally, the cabinet maker will not be here either unless I call him and tell him to be here. Maybe the granite folks will be able to make the hole but it's really not their job..ughhhh If the hole is not made and the granite goes on top, I hope the guy doing the plumbing will be able not only make the hole but be able to fish the lines thru the cabinet and attach them properly to the water supply in the wall. Thx for the tid bit on wear and tear of hoses on the wood will definitely do that. Lots of Prayers please!

Forgottensong- first of all - I hope that your DH. DD & Mom are doing OK - THAT is WAY MORE IMPORTANT than a stupid countertop - I know - My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 Lung Cancer in January and given around 6 months to live - so i kind of know what you're going through - I just hope that your circumstances with your DH, DD & Mom are not like mine... Anyways - Second - can you post a pic? Visuals are WAY EASIER to work with rather than verbal descriptions.. An honest to goodness "drilled" hole in a Granite countertop - made by a Carpenter - a REAL carpenter - using a traditional wood bit - is going to be hard to do - as wood bits hardly touch anything as hard as stone and leave a divot or a mark or a scratch or especially a hole... Plus - unless your carpenter was Ray Charles - I doubt that this is what happened - BUT..... I could be wrong.... so hence - the request for a pic. Third - Is your top REALLY "Granite" - or is it a Quartz Product? or something else that LOOKS like Granite? Again - a pic (or multiple pics) will help to diagnose what you have going on... I have to head over to my mom's house right now, but I'll check back here later in the day to see if you posted a pic - u can also e-mail me - something too... Hang in there - things could always be worst - and yes - what you have IS most likely fixable - I teach this at my school - so chill out - no worries Brah!! Thanks for the help! I just spoke to Blanco Customer Service. There are four additional knockouts for accessories. However, it took half a day, lots of internet searching, a couple of phone calls, one to HD and one to Blanco to find this out. I wouldn't even have known to look for the additional knockouts if you GWebbers hadn't led me in that direction! When I kindly suggested to Blanco that they add this on to the description and make it clear to future potential customers that these knockouts are an option, well, she was let's say 'less than grateful'.."ma'am we have that information on our website". Well, perhaps not every customer wants to go back to the manufacturer's website to try and find that out (model numbers are different from what is stated on the HD site, and in fact she gave me the wrong model number at first...) Anyhow, now I know, I thought I was doing Blanco a service letting them know it was not that clear, and it could be helpful to add that to the HD description..." Ma'am that is HD's description" Oh well, you can lead them to water....

It is ENTIRELY your preference. Some people wind up with setups like this... Others with very minimalist setups... Really up to you. I decided on a faucet with a pull-down sprayer, after having nothing but a side sprayer. So far, I like it. Does take some getting used to. I also have a good soap pump, (Kraus - it doesn't clog and is never messy) - I hate having to have dishsoap sitting on the counter. So I had 2 holes drilled. Much much cleaner looking than my old sink.
