blemishes and sticky substance on fruit
Comments (9)@rhizo_1: I should've been more explicit, but that is part of my question (indicated by the word "blemishes" in the title of the thread). Indoor or outdoor, my citrus fruit has been rapidly ripening and then getting these blemishes before becoming fully ripe, even after several applications of pest killer. It has been concurrent with the sticky substance on the fruit. It has so far happened to a half dozen fruit on two trees. I've never seen anything like this before. I'm about to go to the store to get some copper-containing fungicide to apply to the trees. Soon I won't have any fruit left!...See MoreSticky substance & pests
Comments (4)First, you can save the tree by giving a 30 year old citrus tree the proper care that such a tree deserves. Your tree has insects (bugs), The sticky residue is excreations from insects that are sucking the juices from the tree's leaves and or branches. Your tree has either scale (look like small round scabs), mealy bug (white), or aphids (I sure you know what an aphid looks like). Take the tree outside and wash it down using the hose with a nozzel attached. Use a semi-forceful spray. Be sure to get the top AND bottom of all leaves and branches. You can also do this in the shower, but it is usually harder, as you cannot get a forceful enough spray. You can also spray the tree with a horticultural oil such as Volk Oil or Ultra Fine Oil which you can find at most nurseries or at Home Depot. Both oils are NOT toxic. If you use the horticultural oils, be sure to follow directions and BE SURE not to over spray. - Millet...See Moreclear sticky substance on my plumeria

Comments (10)I would simply replace the CD burner sudden like. See the paragraph below, I had originally suggested you upgrade to a DVD burner, but.......... If you need help on howto there are plenty of folks here who can and will guide you through the simple process. Well, before posting this I checked Best Buy, Staples and Officemax, right now they all seem expensive. I bought a Sony here in Canada for $50 a while back so I figured south of the border you might do better. So much for thinking. Try the flyers on Sunday, they may have them on sale next week....See Moremyermike_1micha
