Echeveria propagation - babies with long roots

I started propagating these Echeveria leaves a month ago, by now most of them have roots and/or leaves growing. I read in another discussion that as long as they have the leaves attached they don't need much water in the soil, so I've only sprayed them once a week since they started growing roots. However, a lot of their roots are not going into the ground but exploring the area. If this goes on much longer, they will end up getting their roots mingled with each other. I wonder if I could encourage them to grow their roots downwards by spraying them more often, or even starting to water them with a syringe like the adult plants? My room is very humid (60-75%) so I don't want to water them more than necessary, but maybe more is necessary?

Thank you very much in advance!
