Thanks, the only problem with inventory check is that they barcoded *all* the fabric the same, so someone has to physically go look at what they have and try to figure out if it's what I'm talking about (if I could email a picture it would help but no one's suggested that). I *did* call the 3 stores closest to us, 1 said maybe (but DH didn't see any), 1 said they thought they had 2 pieces and would hold them for me but didn't, the last one wouldn't even try to check but DH is heading there today. I wasn't feeling well enough yesterday to call the main office, but I will on Monday and ask where they got their fabric from - if it's not multiple sources I may be able to go to the original store/manufacturer and find the rest. Or, it may have been discontinued and I'm out of luck :-( I'm feeling normal - actually had a bagel with margarine for breakfast! Though I'm not brave enough for coffee. Lost 4 pounds in 24 hrs - not the kind of diet I want to recommend though. DS still has some lingering effects, he's sticking to dry toast. DD is acting fine (which is why she went to swim lessons) but I gave her a bath before I got sick, she must have lost a bt b/c she seems skinny, I mentioned it to DH and he said her eyes are still sunken and dark circles under *and* over so he was trying to push fluids on her. At least she got her appetite back - ate banana, strawberries, grapes and some turkey yesterday though I told him no cheese or milk. She wanted kielbasa last night with him, wisely he told her no.

Ah - but you excel in those areas. Just remember that if you stumble across a fabric that fits your needs it can be crafted into a duvet, coverlet or even a full bedspread. While king size sheets are the easiest due to their overall size even regular cloth cut from a bolt of fabric can be used. We had a quilted coverlet made from a Schumacher fabric based on a historic pattern from the Stencil House at the Shelbourne Museum. The coverlet was sewn with 3 layers - the top layer was the stencil pattern, then a layer of batting and the bottom was a solid that complemented the background color of the stencil. The entire coverlet was then machine quilted outlining the rose and leaf design of the fabric. Since I think you're looking for a solid color duvet 'm sure you'll find exactly the right bed covering without having to resort to having one mad. But it can be done if necessary.

marti - it faces N. they'll mostly be open. probably looks is the highest on the list. Could be the time i'd close them for privacy. they are right next to my front door. Maybe I should close them when I'm gone? - otherwise anyone could look in and see anything. not much in the room now. a stove, 2 dws, a few bins and bunch of boxes - lol! No one usually comes around but ya never know about these things. It's so different being in here than my old place. did you get an email from me? I sent it last night. shades - that sounds like mine - even the size. I did figure if 1 rod I'd need a center support on that 7" strip. I have curtains in the old place I can bring over here I guess. For now anyway. They aren't what I'd want in there really. But until I find out what I do want, they'd do. I might try to go to the GW this next wk (cool wave - down to a high of 103-105!). I should look for more sheets (bottom) - the last 2 I got there that said 'Q' on 'em -weren't. Next time I'll measure them. I used to have more sheets but I guess a few sets bit the dust this past yr or 2. The bottom one on here now is about 20 yrs old, very thin. but it was really fine - until puppy. several holes in it now. She doesn't know a sheet from her paw when chewing. or maybe she does and has me fooled - lol!

I hadn't even thought of the direction that the light is going. That is good to know. I will start looking around. I would love to have overhead but we have an upstairs above this room so I don't think it is possible. Yes I plan to install sconces on the fireplace. I have been having so much fun collection ides for it. Of course, some of my inspiration pictures were on this site, so I am hoping they get restored. We have been waiting to spend money on the room, wanting to be certain that hubby's job is solid. Lots of rumors at his job of closings, and lots of layoffs. So we have waited. However, the longer I wait, the more I think of that I want to do. We have hardwood in the entry and I would LOVE to take out the carpet in the room and match the entry hardwood if that is possible and continue it into this room. Then I could get a pretty rug. We usually take our shoes off at the door but sometimes don't when we're in a hurry. One can use the foyer to go to the kitchen, or cut through this room. So it sees alot of foot traffic, and the dog loves to roll around on it. Arranging the furniture around the vision in my head has been difficult to say the least. I like things to be symetrical and would like the couch directly below the window. However, that doesn't make for nice conversation. We've had it there before. What I hope will work is to scooch the piano down to the end of the wall - where the doorway is, and squeeze a chair in that corner, have another chair in the other corner, then have the sofa under the window, but not centered under it. It makes that end heavy but I want a nice conversation set up. The piano really can't go anywhere else. I've thought of putting the sofa facing the fireplace to come, but I think it is too big. I could scoot it closer to the fireplace and angle a chair beside it, that may work. Not sure. If someone has another idea, I'm all ears ( and eyes). So glad you don't think bedroom when you see the drapes. They do look brighter. I have another set of panels. Perhaps I should double up and hang them too for fullness?
