Shasta daisy takes awhile to turn to seed. The easiest way I know how to explain it is wait till the entire head turns brown while on the plant. The best indication that the seeds are ready is that the stem underneath the head will also start to turn brown, I usually just take a peek underneath the head and make sure there is no green. Some of my shasta daisy's take several weeks to a month to fully develop. Once the head and underneath have fully turned brown u will find the seeds in the head, I have added you a picture of the seeds so you know what your looking for. Yes, you can plant the seeds next spring or you can go ahead and plant them this year if they are still small by the time of frost you can always protect them or you can even winter sow them. Hello Remy, I don't have any trouble planting and germinating seeds that I buy; but I would like to collect the seeds from the particular plants that have colors I especially like. I have collected livingston daisy seeds from favorite plants and dried them before, and those are the ones that have not germinated. I collect and save lots of seeds from many other favorite plants, and have pretty good luck with most. I was wondering if there is any special condition peculiar to livingston daisy seeds that I am not aware of. (ie some seeds have to be frozen for a time) I always store saved dried seeds in paper envelopes, and the envelopes in a ziploc bag with a bit of powdered milk. The powdered milk never comes in contact with the seeds. It acts as a drying agent to help preserve the seeds (like silica gel packets stored with leather, etc). I have never kept my seeds in the refrigerator; perhaps I'll try that this year. Thanks for your response! Kt

~lurking~ Would this be for seeds or plants? I have terrible luck with bare root plants. I've killed everyone I've ever gotten! I wouldn't have much to trade as far as plants. I just started Gloriosa daisies, Gaillardia, Coreopsis & English Daisies this year. I only have established NOID black-eyed Susans and Purple Coneflowers. I've been working a little more on my perennials this year. I too love daisy type flowers. Don't mind my ramble! Becky

hi organic worm sorry for not writting back again, as to the plants you have there i dont think i got any except if i turn the grey iron bark into two plants "grey gum and iron bark" wich i do have no seeds though. but i do have some differnt types of paperbarks and wattles but thats all the types i have for seads right now oh oops the wattles are just coming into flower. if you could could you send me your address so i can post you a stamp
