Comments (9)Outstanding powder room. Thank you for sharing. Your tile choice appears to be an unglazed porcelian hex. Which manufacturer did you purchase from? I have been researching the different vendors for unglazed hex tiles. The biggest road-block I keep running into, is that the min. required order is so large and its pretty pricey due to the cost/per sq ft. I only need it for a small area. (mudroom and stairlanding). Would you mind sharing your experience and resource for the tile you used? I would really appreicate, it would make my decision making easier. Thanks in advance for any info and guidance. It is truly LOVELY, you've done a great job of keeping the intergrity a period bath. -September...See MoreDoes your powder room vanity match your kitchen cabs?
Comments (13)Thank you all for your suggestions and pictures. billl - good point about the dust collecting strips - I agree either against the wall or room for cleaning between. enduring - thanks for the link, although I think my architects violated most of the suggestions - they seem to be more form over function - but it's only the powder room - our bathrooms were designed and built in 1939 - so of course they violate most of the suggestions too. Good luck with your reno pricklypearcactus - I'm meeting with the GC and finish carpenter to discuss a built-in. I was thinking if it had 3 drawers and feet instead of the standard cabinet doors, it would look more like furniture even if it is built in. In the case that I go with RH - how do you like the quality? kfhl - thank you so much for pointing out the baseboard issue. I completely forgot that. mydreamhome - it's a renovation, but we're bumping into what was our original attached garage. Unfortunately the plumbing is already installed. But, give that the door hinge is on the opposite side of your hinge, I think you'll never see in the room from the entry - only from the mud room. nini - lovely vanity and I absolutely love the black granite w/white bowl look - but it would end up being the fanciest piece of furniture in our entire house :) Does the black granite show a lot of waterspots?...See MorePowder Room - Stainless Steel vanity + what faucet finish? Comments (0)hello! i am having a design dilemma with thinking about my powder room. this is a room i wanted to have a little fun in, but don't want to look like i just threw super random things together. we are going to do a stainless steel vanity base and i am now searching for a faucet...am i going too far out there to think brass could look good? or should i stick to something like polished chrome/polished nickel? faucet will be wideset with cross handles (ceramic center Hot/Cold) . other room details: floor: 2x2 calacatta gold hexagon tile vanity top: colorado yule marble (white with very slight warm gray/brown veining...will be mostly white) walls: possibly reclaimed wood as an accent wall picture of vanity base below...See MoreOPEN for suggestions to our Powder Room Update - PLEASE
Comments (7)couple of options to keep the dark, drama even though this is a black ship lap, by using a neutral vanity w/marble top and some gold accents, it's anything but dark and dreary. wainscot on the lower half. notice the window trim and blind. pedestal sink (if you don't need any storage) gives more room/space in a small bathroom. even though this gray is a dark shade (like yours), w/the white below it (subway tile would work too) it keeps a classic look. notice the window on this one too,,,,(the zebras are a bit bold, but it works!) beautiful white casing w/woven wood shade, everything else is drama-city!...See Morenosoccermom
