Look at Colonial Slate, also. Ask your roofer if they can give you addresses where you can see various colors on houses in your area.

If you live in a hot climate, I would consider carefully before choosing black. Also black fades. Well, all colors fade in the sun, but IMO, black shows it more. I like grey for your roof.

And I second asking for addresses of houses to see. Our roofer gave us addresses. And when there wasn't a house on the list with the shingle style I thought I wanted, they called the manufacturer for me and got an address with that shingle style. It's a big decision, both in terms of how it impacts the look of the house and in cost.

Drive around your neighborhood and write down the address of houses whose roofs you like. Then give it to your roofing contractor and find out what they are.
