Are you two play bickering or real bickering? I enjoy reading your posts & not sure if your back & forth banter is all in jest.

Thats fine if you tell me to mind my own business, I just don't always know how to respond.

For me, the answer isn't really either of the two alternatives you suggest. I like to state my views or describe what I know if different from what others have said in a conversation. Not more, not less. I don't pay much attention to who has said what from one thread to the next. I might agree with someone one time and then disagree another. I try to stimulate the discussion by adding what I think might be useful or interesting, not pick fights or start a banter.

I like to learn from talking to people, especially those of backgrounds and views that differ from my own. I'm not referring indirectly to anyone at all, but I think you've seen in your life (as I have with mine) that some people feel threatened and get defensive when someone disagrees with them. That may account for what might seem to be bickering on any particular thread.

It looks like Lucille either missed this thread or chose not to respond.

Aunts and Uncles?

Aunt Betty(mom's sister)and Uncle Lyle Uncle Bob(mom's brother)and Aunt Carole Uncle Bob(dad's brother)and Aunts Evelyn,Fran and Ann Aunt Mary(dad's sister)and Uncle Rich Aunt Joan(dad's sister)and Uncle Windy(Wendal) Lots of great aunts and uncles on my mothers side. Not so much on my fathers, might have had something to do with the fact that my dad's father was a good 20 years older than my mother's father. So the greats on dad's side were old and gone by the time that we came along. There was such an age difference between my two grandfathers that I remember one calling the other sir.

Hair color

sleeperblues, very pretty, sleeper! And yep, your hair looks recently cut... it's so healthy looking. You already have a reddish-gold natural highlighting going on, I'd go for something less bold then penny suggests (but that's just me nowadays, I used to have 1/2" short hair back in the punk days), and perhaps have some gold or lighter reddish highlights put in? You could start with something subdued, and always add more or go lighter. Nice thing about highlights rather than overall color... you can let it grow out longer without looking like it needs to be 'done' again! ETA: penny, your friend's hair is great! I did that (with blonde) for a while but my hair was longer. I thought it'd look odd with red, but it made my red look darker and so wasn't strange looking... or I didn't think it was ; )

Stove Top Boil Washing

I use silk organza for pressing cloths in my sewing room. At one point, many(!) years ago, they were just nasty looking from fusible interfacing glues and general crud. So I boiled them on the stove, with a small amount of Charlie's Soap. They came out pristine clean white and are still going strong today.

What are you procrastinating about?
Q

I'm procrastinating about almost everything after doing the COVID seclusion. I need to restart myself. I began earlier this week by having my first luncheon with a buddy this week. I had finished my last shot 3 weeks ago. Next, I need to get quotes from a contractor to make a concrete driveway and parking space. The street rebuild in front of my house finished by Oct 1 last year which was too late to do a concrete driveway. Changes were made during the street work and we did not know precisely where the sidewalk would be until near the end of the project plus the fact its best to wait until the street constructors are gone before bringing in another crew.
