November, 2016 Quilting/Sewing Goals
Comments (6)In October I finished three of my Mom's UFOs. One was the lap robe she was crocheting when she passed away. I also finished a rag rug that just needed the last of the braid sewn into place, and I assembled 30 crocheted granny squares into a lap robe. (I still have nearly 200 granny squares!) For November I'll keep working on my Provence and Beyond quilt (the 12 applique blocks are half done!) and probably work on some more of those granny squares. My calendar is already full with music rehearsals and performances, and December isn't far behind! I will probably start the Quiltville mystery, too. Donna...See More2016 November Block Lotto

Male winter moths have wings and are able to fly. They are light colored moths with a band of black marks extending across the tip of the wings. Adult female winter moths have greatly reduced wings (and are sometimes said to be wingless) and are incapable of flying. No management options are recommended or effective against the adult moth stage of this pest. Adult winter moths do not feed. Females will lay the eggs that will hatch next spring....See MoreHouseplants November 2016 photos!
Comments (66)Mike- I'm assuming you mean the aerial roots? :p I would use a small spray bottle but I lost mine a few months ago...it just simply vanished one day and I couldn't find it. Now, I just take the white pot the orchid sits in, fill up with water, dip my fingers in (wash hands before :p), and carefully drip water on the roots so that they turn green. I have a paper towel nearby in case water gets in between the area where the leaf meets the stem. It's getting really dry in my house right now and as a result the aerial roots are shriveling a bit. I've been doing my best to drip as much as possible to keep them from dessicating. It seems to be working okay so far :p...See Moregarrett222
