Need Backsplash ideas
We moved into our new house in July and are still working on the punch list, so any pictures here are not final. The architects called for white back painted glass as a back splash, but they also had the cabinets and hood be high and even, so it could have been one piece of glass. That was purely form over function and would not have worked with our Bluestar range. We opted to go lower for the cabinets and have the vent jut out further, based on recommendations here. We are very happy with the changes we made, but now the BP glass would have two seams.
I have attached a picture of the kitchen and the family room that it looks into. The furniture is VERY temporary, but I am open to any and all backsplash ideas. I think it should still be white, but my husband wants color. I think it would distract from the fireplace.

7 years agolast modified: 7 years agoThis isn't quite the same color family as your fireplace, but it gets close. Maybe it can at least give you some idea of the color intensity with the glass backsplash.

I think we will get some different samples and put them up and get some pictures. Thanks Autumn, i'll try the kitchen forum. I like your screen-shot, but I hate using Photobucket. I was hoping there was a way to post multiple pictures from my laptop without using PB. (I love your house, the snow I can do without, but it looks lovely!) Momto3, our granite is called Juparana Delicatus. We looked at a LOT of granite and really fell in love with these slabs...even if it meant going over budget. Comments (23)I was just hunting for a light gray glass on another post - wonder if this would work for your kitchen - or maybe larger glass pieces but not the mosaic. How about this one? it is a gray blend tile - I think the variation might play out nicely in your kitchen. But it might be too much with that gorgeous floor. Tile won't compete with the fireplace. Just keep the colors neutral. Go nuts with shape - find something you love.
