Comments (9)Hi Julie, We agree with Patricia on this one. A larger light fixture may be a better idea for this space. On that note, perhaps these light fixtures from our sister brand Luxe Light and Home may work: Le Marais (this is a custom 3-tier) Fiammi Lucia (This is a custom 'vertical' version of the fixture) These Luxe fixtures are sold exclusively through the Kravet showrooms so we highly encourage you to visit one near you so you can see the quality and workmanship yourself. We hope this information will help you make a more informed decision on your home needs. Comments (13)I guessed at size of kitchen eating area so verify measurements. A 72x36 table will work but tight to get to slider door. A 60” table in formal dining room will work but I would create a more flexible room with this space. I have some ideas on that. I will post that shortly. The key thing about round tables is get trim but sturdy pedestal that is clear enough for chairs to push in and get chairs that aren’t too wide at front edge. That front chair edge is what limits number of chairs....See MoreDining Room Size for a 10x12 room that was a laundry room originally
Comments (25)If a small table is good for everyday, there are workarounds for occasional family get-togethers. Reading Sarah Susanka's books may give you some ideas for having your spaces live large. For example, she suggests 2 smallish tables that are the same height, that can be put together for occasional larger dining needs. For large meals we split people up between the kitchen and dining room tables, and the rule is that mid-meal you shuffle places so you have different dining companions for dessert. For holiday meals my MIL used to put tables end-to-end that covered the full length of living-dining room, such that the people on the far side needed to crawl under the table to get there. Obviously that was for the younger more nimble people. The kids loved it and still talk fondly about diving under the table. If your need is for a more elegant dining experience for couples, that obviously won't work LOL....See MoreDining room..creating space in a small dining room /sitting room area
Comments (3)Without an actual to scale plan of the space there is no way of knowing what will fit and I love the low cabinet with the art BTW. I think you might be able to put a round table in the DR but I need measurements of the spaces I never like fake greenery or flowers and the mirror is really not reflecting anything worth seeing twice...See MoreRelated Professionals
